Seriously can you just keep Masterwork cores at 10 shards!!?

13 RepliesAs well as: Adding them to the global loot pool. Public events yield 1, heroic 3. Random drop from region chests. Five from heroic strikes. Included in package rank ups from Zavala, Lord Shaxx and Saladin. Spider bounties yield more per bounty. The higher bounties yield more. Chance for cores to drop from lost sector caches. Or you know, just remove them from the cost of infusion. Keep them for masterworking if you must but only do so if you increase the means to aquire them. They are a bottleneck to progression to artificially inflate playtime. I've said this many times: The fact we can only carry a stack of 20 ghost fragments for Spider's bounties is the most egregious and obvious mechanic. This is intentional. Its farming within farming.

Edited by Orobas Rex: 3/21/2019 1:27:34 AMAs much as I like bungie to remove enhancement cores from infusion I would settle for reduced cost of 1 core to infuse
i think this would reduce stress on the players and give bungie time to figure out what they want to do
3 RepliesHopefully they just change the name to infusion cores

6 RepliesAlright here's something some of you may not understand: You do not have to wear higher power gear to earn more higher power gear. If you just have higher level gear on your person then the game will use that to calculate your highest possible light level and base your powerful rewards off of that. Half of- no, an overwhelming majority of activities in D2 do not require you to be max light, including the ones that reward powerful gear. It wasn't until Reckoning Tier III was released when I went from having 50+ Masterwork cores to around 35ish cores, just so I could reach a little over 680 with the armor/weapons best suited for Tier III, namely the exotics that would be most effective. I might make another forum post about how to be smart with your cores if I feel like it, but it really just boils down to "I probably shouldn't infuse all my favorite gear with something that's 2 light higher than it." It's outright dumb to be wasting masterwork cores like that. Be more conservative with harder to obtain resources. I can definitely agree with Bungie adding a few more ways to earn these cores, but getting rid of them entirely or reducing the cost? No.

3 RepliesOr if he would accept Etheric Spirals. Or if anyone would accept them. For anything. I've got 1100.
-
On a very special episode of don't play sleepy I spent almost all my legendary shards one night blindly buying masterwork cores without noticing the cost was going up.
-
That would be considered too cheap by the dev team, probably. But what about just adding 10 shards per purchase, instead of doubling. 1st one 10, 2nd one 20, 3rd one 30, etc.
-
Damn Spider, I always knew he was up to no good.

2 RepliesI'm just here for all the "hard core" bad asses who "barely play" and have "9999 cores" and wanna let everyone know how they should play "smarter". Yeah bro, we get it. You're soooooooooo hard core.
-
I have 12.6K shards. that would give me an unfair advantage for sure
-
If there was a system that only used masterwork cores for specific infusion, for example... putting a sniper into an auto! Maybe a more costly infusion if you want to put hunter arms into titan arms?? It's a compromise basically - if cores can't/won't be removed from infusion!
-
Naw just get them the hell out of here.

7 RepliesJust found this https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/paultassi/2019/03/20/what-im-hoping-to-see-with-destiny-2s-promised-changes-to-enhancement-cores/amp/ Could go along way in bringing people back if its removed.

6 RepliesPeople tend to waste cores on meaningless infusions, when all you need is sufficient resource management. Though this is a relatively simple concept to grasp, many people find it difficult in practice especially when you have to distribute those cores among 3 characters. There are plenty of bounties and ways to obtain cores, however, I do understand people's frustrations. I've been sitting on 50 cores amongst 3 characters for the past 2 seasons and have been extremely cautious with all my infusions. For the sake of the cores, just wear all the mix-matched ugly armor pieces until you are almost at the max power light, then infuse at that point.

1 ReplyEdited by TheShadow-cali: 3/19/2019 5:58:46 PM
We'll be meeting with the team today to discuss continued feedback over Enhancement Cores, their purpose in infusion, and their acquisition paths within the game. Thank you all for your continued feedback on this matter.
It's good that Cozmo and Dmg have been on this forum a lot more recently that at least it makes some gamers feel that something is kind of being done however anyone takes what that means to them. I post the way I do a lot for a good reason. Whether they pay attention to what I post or not doesn't really matter. What matters though it what Bungie does actually pay attention to and how the process what's being said. This may not matter to Bungie, but it might matter to some of the gamers on this forum. I have my theory but I'll leave that out and go with this. When it comes to important changes like the infusion system and when Bungie is going to make a change. Why in the 4+ years when important things are going to change they rarely let the player base be involved? most of the time they just do it without any questions asked. Now, I get that it's their game and they can do what they want with it and all that, but, wouldn't any of you have liked to have a small say in what changes before the changes actually take place? The cores and the changes that took placed have been talked about since the day the new infusion system took place and most of it has not been positive. Why? it's because we didn't have a say at all before it was changed. I don't care how easy it is to acquire them and I don't care how many anyone has. What I care about is that even if I had 10,000 of them IMO it's still not going to change the issue this game has that is hurting the game more so then cores as some might think. The lack of in-game content like gear to use them on is the issue and IMO why the infusion system was changed. This didn't benefit the player base but if Bungie actually took the time to get legit feedback from the player base prior to them making certain changes. Do you think things would have been better off? I do because there is never just only one answer to every problem.

The other issue is the bounties Spider has for cores. They take ghost fragments (fragments). You can get 1 from patrols, 1 from public event, 2 from heroic public event and rng from chests and hvt chests. Fragments are capped at 20 and you need 21 to get the 6 core bounties and then there is the 5 for the power drop bounties which then makes it 26 total. No one makes PE heroic on Tangled Shore, it's too time consuming for the rewards. Thus it takes a combo of 20 PE,patrols and hvt then an additional 6 after spending fragments on bounties. A quick fix would be to increase the fragments on PE to 3 normal and 6 heroic, 2 for patrols, and 3 for HvT.

They need ways to "throttle" your game experience so they can boost average time played. They do it a million different ways.

2 RepliesEdited by Demon_XXVII: 3/20/2019 4:38:32 PMRemoving the 'enhancement CHORE!' from infusion costs And bringing back the Masterwork CORE & re-roll of MW mods Plus allowing a 1-3 masterwork core reward for the weekly bounties Here's an idea On top of MW re-roll & increasing one of the stats by 10+/% MW cores uses - could be used to enhance perks on armour. Say 30-35 cores turns the hand cannon reloader perk into an enhanced hand cannon reloader perk (allows boost to any other perk selected - just gotta pay the cores) That would be a way for players to make good use out of cores other than just masterworking, and truly build a masterwork armour set! Or use them as currency to buy/add another 1-2 master work slots/mod slots
-
I'm still voting for removing them entirely, but I would settle for this too.

Did you know that cheese and bacon were gifts from the gods? Of course his prices are outrageous. He secretly works for EA,but Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.
-
Dude's gotta run a business.
-
Yea just have them cost 35 shards, 25000 glimmer, and 75 weapon materials.
-
You're right. Tripling the cost would definitely be the best option
-
Just make milestones give cores once you hit max power. If it was a +1 powerful drop make it give 1 core instead and 3 cores for a +3 drop and so on.

4 RepliesYep and letting us trans-infuse armor sets from different classes.. problem solved.
