I love this game I really do. It's been a long tough road, but after this 4th rendition of The Court of Oryx...come on man...
Edit: For the D2 noobs, Court of Oryx is a D1 game mode where you grind for runes with different tier levels. You use the runes to activate the tier you want, kill enemies that spawn from the event, then collect loot. Sound familiar?

For the first time in Destiny's franchise history I have not only taken a break from the game indefinitely, I have actually uninstalled it. Never thought it would come this far.

Enough ppl warned about the anal pass being a total nothingburger and nothing but Bungie trying to cheapskate "content". Even without anyone telling you it was very obvious from the secrecy around its "content". As long as you blindly buy all the crap they're throwing at you you have noone but yourself to blame. Bungie are greedy and lazy, always have been, always will be. You enable them.

I was disappointed when Bungo announced a yearly pass and no new DLC's. Only took me a week or so after BA released to give up on this game. Actually logged in on Tuesday to see what was new. Spent 5 minutes at the Tower then logged off. Since I don't need the space on my HD yet, I won't uninstall D2 yet, but I also wont be playing it. I figure I'll wait it out until the yearly pass ends and see if Bungo can come up with anything worth keeping this game on my HD, but I don't expect they will.

I knew the second I saw Luke smith this was going to be bad. Other then ttk all he has done is bad. I played the new stuff and it's ok for now but once people start getting full sets of the gear it will go downhill fast. Just imagine you load in and see 3 or 4. Invaders on the other team. If you don't play prime then why do reckoning. This content won't last for lots of people. What then we d9 the same stuff we have been doing for a long time. I would rather pay more for better content. New areas and strikes and PvP maps or modes. Maybe rework old stuff like the edz or titan. Give us more loot to chase. Use crucible labs and come up with fun stuff or stuff people keep asking for. Bring the factions back like they were in d1 and let us grind for rep and new gear and weapons. This is a looter shooter so give us more loot. Make strike loot not just nightfall loot. Like last season once I get the strike weapon in done with.the strikes because I have done them hundreds of times already and there is no reason to do them. We have new stuff but it's not something everyone wants to play and not enough to get us threw the next 3 months . How about a new story mission that gives tells us about the drifter. Maybe someone wants us took look into his past and sends us to a new location to find out about him. Kills some enemies and get some story telling us about him and his past. Something other then gambit prime.

The thing to remember is that Seasons 5-7 are just part of the Season Pass, a collection of small additions to the game to keep players interested while they work on the next massive Fall DLC. To put this in perspective, Forsaken added two new locations, a new raid, new enemies, and new mechanics and new implementations for old ones. And when all that is said and done, there are hundreds of collectibles such as lore and seals that better develop the story and boast your mastery to others. This is not to be expected of these current seasons as they are not intended to be game-changing additions. And of course, anything in a game will get boring after so many runs, which is why for many D1 vets, many aspects of D2 feel old-hat. In my opinion, Black Armory was lackluster and I never liked Gambit much, but I do enjoy the Reckoning, even if its current purpose is to buff Gambit Prime players.

Disappointment set in on day 1 of Black Armory. Season of Drifter is less of a disappointment and more of a resignation that for better and worse, Bungie no longer wants me to play Destiny, and I have to oblige them since they have designed the whole entire Annual Pass around activities that I either can not do, or will not do ( anything with PVP in it, like Gambit ).

I'm not disappointed. I didn't expect much after Black Armory and the new content doesn't really wow me. I like the designs of the new weapons and armor from Gambit Prime though. Just wish I could get more weapons to actually drop. I've only gotten a Grenade Launcher to drop.

1 ReplyI’m more disappointed in the nerfs. I like gambit prime a shit ton more than gambit. But wrecking whisper and the ikelos shotty blows. I know it’s typical of bungee to nerf something you grinded your ass off for into the ground (see y1 thorn) , but guess what, guys, grenade launchers still blow despite your best efforts.

4 RepliesI have been playing destiny almost from the start, but it just maybe time to call it a day. I did my 3 strikes and for the first and the third I got a warlock bond. I went on and did my flashpoint and got an other warlock bond. During this I got a warlock bond from a prime endgram. Surely this is not right. Not making much progress.

I started the game to get the Season of the Drifter update, but when it was done updating, I didn't play. I'm just not enthusiastic about Gambit anymore, so it's hard to find the motivation to sign in when the entire season revolves around the Drifter and his game.

I simply find gambit prime a bit boring. I prefer original gambit. Besides that the game’s basically the same. And I’m still bad at it.

35 RepliesI feel your pain Guardian. I have been with Destiny since day one. It is the only game I play. I have tolerated all of the DLC's and improvements?..... along the way. I have a very sizable investment in this game. A $10,000 4 K ultra 80 inch flat screen, (I won't even talk about the sound equipt. I have hooked up to the TV) a PS4 Pro console, I even ditched the so called 4 k HDMI cable that came with the Pro and bought a true 4K HDMI cable. I forget exactly how many Gigs it is. i believe it is around 22.5 Gigs as compared to the 16 or 18 Gigs that comes with the Pro. Always bought the digital DLC's when available also. So for me to say I am very disappointed in the Season of The Drifter would be an understatement! This game is not only repetitive, it is also becoming redundant.

No, I didn't miss it....but I paid for this long ago, I'm going to at least check it out. See the drifter, start a quest. After wasting my time to get to the next step I realize it's the last word quest I never logged on to do. Deleted. Head into gambit prime. A bit sweaty. Too many invasions. Not a fan of being herded into one spot so you easily get supered by an invader or toasted by the boss that's 2 feet away, but OK. Feels like a race to 5 stacks more than anything, but after 4 games I realized I might be able to like this. Grab a synthesizer, instructions not clear, Dick caught in toaster....but to the reckoning we go! Woof. Me and my rando friends took 4 times as 650s to beat that boss. That's when I dawned on me. I have to level up. Doing all the same, repetitive crap that I was sick of. A lot of it. But hey, there's New fancy armor with perks! Oh....perks are shit. A new title maybe....wait....no way. No way i could stand playing this every second I am online. What? My synthesizer isn't actually is good as it can be? More bounties! Know what Bungo, I'm good. I'll just watch Myelin to keep up with the story.

Totally disappointed. Same boring repetitive pve grind with nothing fun to do. People leaving this game as fast as a hummingbird flies. Jeez let's grind over and over for the same gun you grinded for in D1. Now so many things don't work. Bounties don't progress and glitch out. Your kills and orbs don't count for strike triumph even though I have nothing masterworked on. Guitared from the tower repeatedly. Jeez bungie is falling apart.
