They can't handle Telesto, they can't handle shotguns, they can't handle Lunas Howl, they can't handle Not Forgotten, they can't handle Bygones, they can't handle Queensbreaker, they can't handle supers.......on and on and on. And yet, they still think they are good players. LOL. Basically, they can't handle Destiny PvP. I suggest that they are just in the wrong game and need a much safer game to play, like Mario Kart. I hear Mario Party is pretty safe for the fragile gamer as well.

2 RepliesYou know what stops shotguns? Skills. Skills do. Alot of the maps now support sniper, fusion rifle and even sidearms(all superior range) If your a run and gun type. Shotties and side arms are you best friends. If you prefer to thin the herd then move in sniper and fusions are the way to go. There is so much weapon mix up now. Its beautiful. I got lunas howl, and a stardust shotty for my sweaty "i need the reward from winning" game types and playlist. But quick play is is home to relearning sniper rifles and boy let me tell you. Its fooking beautiful.

My problem isn’t shotguns in general. It’s which archetype of shotguns you allow in certain slots. Slug shotguns should’ve been the only type of shotgun in your primary slot. With maybe the exception of lightweight frames too. Pellet spread shotguns like the dust rock blues should’ve been kept in the energy slot, since they’re less skill based. Reduce the range & remove precision modifiers in PvP. I’m not saying they shouldn’t be able to one shot at point blank range. But Come on, we’re suited up space warriors trained for combat. Shotguns shouldn’t be able to map you, unless; you’re already weakened, you’re using a slug shotgun, or an exotic shotgun like the chaperone. Ultimately it just comes down to proper balance.

THANK YOU!!! If you have to use Shotguns. you clearly have no actual aiming skills. just spin in a circle and smash right trigger. PLEASE STOP RUINING THIS GAME! Bungie, if you are too pussy to remove shotguns. remove the starting ammo. Make PVP skill based again!

I only play Shotguns for the daily powerful when they increase the LL. I always rock a Shotgun when playing Shotguns because it wouldn't be Shotguns without a Shotgun.

Thats why I alwasy use the META double shotguns. When I run out of shotgun ammo I switch to a shotgun and back to my shotgun when needed. Its the only way to survive the shotgun META when your playing Shotguns.

It's either shotguns, Wavesplitters, Hammerhead, Telesto or Lunas Howl, I decided to try PvP again, not the best decision I made, Gambit maybe but Crucible na no way can't have fun constantly people farming Heavy, using Spectral Blades, Shotguns, spawn trapping people beyond a joke now

Edited by FrenetiCreature: 1/24/2019 1:33:18 PMI don't really have much of a problem with shotgun users, but I play as a hunter with smoke bombs. I almost always keep them handy for that Titan or two that you see skating around the map almost every match. Usually, you can just stand there, looking kinda dumb, with your finger and your thumb in the shape of an "L" on your forehead; and those Titans will spot you like, "Oh, there's one!!!" Then, wait for it... Smoke bomb to the face. Then it's either a grenade to top him off, or a few shots of I'm out if grenades. But, it usually sinks in after the first or second time, and when they see you just standing there again, waiting for them, they'll veer off in another direction, thinking, "That's a whole lot of Nope!" As for the hunters usually, they'll either be stalking corners, or they'll come sliding at you from behind one. Just avoid being caught there. Imagine that everyone has a shotgun, to keep it on your mind. The ones that can be slightly annoying, are the blink Warlocks. They like to get you while you're in the middle of a gunfight with their teammates. That sucks, but if you're not preoccupied, and you see them blink, just start jumping backwards. You can jump more often than they can blink. All in all, shotguns don't seem near as bad as they were in D1. I use one every now and then, but I'm not really an aggressive, cqc type player. I like to keep to a medium-far engaging distance, with my Go Figure, with either the Ikelos HC, or another 180 HC for closer fights. Oh, also, I know it's also one of the "problem weapons" to some people, but The Colony also comes in really handy for shotgunners, especially those sneaky-@ss hunters that hide behind corners. And learn to spot a "bait". If it seems like it's too good to be true, it probably is... Hang back, toss a grenade in there first, try to entice them back out to your strong position, and if it seems too fishy, just go on. You can get that guy somewhere else.
