Page 14 (continued prequel)(FANFIC)

Variks of House Judgement sits unmasked, the edge of a dagger pulling away the shell of a long dead ghost. He’s alone and that’s the way he prefers it. More time to think, more time for judgement. Lost in thought, he hardly notices the Queen’s Wrath enter the room. “Draksis is dead,” she announces abruptly.
He looks up at her now, his attention caught. He leans back in his seat and clasps his lower hands together. “Good... good,” he grumbles and then a question comes to mind. “The guardian?”
Petra nods once in confirmation. “I think she’s proven herself, don’t you think?” Before Variks can answer she’s already on her way out again. “I’ll get her over here. We’ll work with her now. We need to find Skolas.”
Variks remains silent, turning back to his ghost. He decides against mentioning he has already personally requested this guardian’s assistance.

1 ReplyThere is a lot I like about this shadow, it’s short but sweet style, the variks perspective (good job with it again), the use of events from D1 for a time reference, and the few lines from Petra that I actually read in her voice. So overall 9.5/10 because I’m pretty sure there’s no part of the lore that mentions whether or not variks ever keeps dead ghosts around. Keep up the great work.

6 RepliesOh my gosh, you just made me relive the most tragic moment of Destiny: the death of the greatest Eliksni ever (I cant believe you’re fawning over Variks with a Kell like Draksis around) *gasp* Oh my gosh, I just figured it out! With Draksis dead, Variks can take his place as the sexiest Eliksni. Shadow, you tricky witch!

This part brings me to a time I wish I could forget... [spoiler]the death of Draksis, Kell of Winter, never thought of the consequences, maybe I could use Vex tech to go back and save him. Then I could try to reason a deal with him. Get him to join the Devils, get the Devils to find SIVA, use SIVA to break a deal with the Black Armory, get SIVA Perfected Black Armory weapons and tech to a union of two Houses. Use this union to defend against Hive threat and head to the Tangled Shore to set up shop and make a city for Eliksni, one ment to be a safe haven for those who wish to negotiate, or ask for Rasputin's aid and set up shop in Braytech with Ana [/spoiler]
