Recognizing online friends
Hello there people, thought I would make a post to show appreciation for some friends who did something really cool for me. Something that I never expected!
On Jan 1st at approximately 2 a.m. the wife and I were at a new years party just like alot of the country. We got a call saying our house was on fire, we happened to be 2 hours away. By the time we made it home we pretty much lost everything, or at least everything that mattered. Understandably for the first couple days we were in shock and at a loss for what to do initially. Not to mention the stress.
I won’t go into great detail, but fast forward a couple more days and my online clan found out about it (I happen to work with one of them). They obviously started asking me questions about the fire, kidding me about using a PS3 that made it to get online. Because my PS4 got destroyed by the fire. (Yes I know I have important things to worry about, and you’re not wrong) but late at night when you can’t sleep you need a distraction! Video games and music have always been my stress relief.
While I’m staying with other family my clan mates all chipped in together and bought me a brand new PS4 and had it shipped to a Walmart pickup center near me. Then messaged me and told me to go to Walmart to pick it up. I couldn’t believe it, it was literally the NICEST thing anyone has done for me besides my wife or parents.
I don’t know about posting their tag names on here. But our clan tag is (LUZRS) it’s an inside joke! In my eyes tho, these guys and girls are anything but.
When I can spare a little time to get on lately they have me laughing and enjoying a nice distraction even for just a little while. Thank you clan you’re the best, and asap I’ll be back in full force. And We will definitely get those Raid completion we’ve been talking about!!!
P.S.
Just to be clear I’m not looking for pity over my house. Normally I wouldn’t even let on anything was wrong. I just shared that part to tell why my clan mates were so nice!

I can’t really say Destiny and friends mix. A large portion of the people I regularly played with changed at some point, stupid reasons among others but the end result was the same

This is a nice story. Did they know about your 60 inch 4k curved tv, astro headset and gaming chair though. Should probably let them know :p Nah jokes aside very heart warming post. Nice to read something other than toxicity.
