Just because I like to watch the world burn and apparently so does Bungie...
In all seriousness though, in a way I hope we don't solve this thing to show Bungie that they have gone too far with trying to please the streamers instead of 99.99% of their customers. I always make sure I have Tuesday nights free when I get home from work so I can relax and play whatever new content is released but this time I realized how difficult Niobe Labs was to unlock and after looking up guides and trying to complete the first 3 levels solo and seeing it was impossible, I just logged off and now I guess I have to wait until Saturday to play again.
EDIT: I find it hilarious that they actually folded and gave us the new forge without Niobe Labs. To the very few that are hating this decision, it should've been like this from the start but instead of just some emblem and ghost shell maybe one of the new exotics should be a reward just like the puzzle for Outbreak Prime in Wrath of the Machine and not locking new content behind it's completion.
EDIT: Since I made this topic, Bungie has cut its ties with Activision. #bless

Edited by CannyJack: 1/13/2019 6:16:45 PMI had kind of hoped that the big brains and the streamers would refuse to solve it, with the explicit message being “Don’t -blam!- us over like that ever again.” I guess in the end, the puzzle itself is the reward for the people who like puzzles.

3 RepliesToo bad for you Gladd's team completed it earlier, with a massive shout out to Raid Secrets on reddit for solving the riddle. Happy its solved to be honest as it means others can now do it without the hassle of solving the riddle that wasnt implemented that well. Reward was the exotic Ghost shell (So people wondering where that was from, now you know) and a pretty cool looking emblem btw.

Cozmo posted there was a bug with one of the clues. Wow. They really didn’t have teams with no knowledge of the puzzle try it to see if there were issues and to get a baseline one how long it would take to solve. Just WOW.

Good lord, this shitpost didn't age well..
-
2 RepliesIt’s kinda easy to make a quiz that no one can solve, for example “what word am I thinking of right now?”
-
3 RepliesGoes to show how pathetic the PvE community is, they cant complete something so they whine and whine until they get their way.
-
5 RepliesFrosty_style wrote this on a post I made: “How funny would it be if no one could do it, only for Bungie to realise they were putting the right codes in and there was a “Bug in the System”, resulting in a patch tomorrow lol.”
-
1 ReplyDid anyone figure it out yet? Or since Bungie opened up the forge has everyone just went on with their lives like it never existed?
-
1 ReplyI actually like Niobe Labs, it shouldn't have been locking people out of the 4th forge but that wasn't on the roadmap in the first place so ah well. Niobe Labs is something different to what we usually get. Something actually difficult to solve that is bring the whole community together whether it be in people trying to come up with solutions to level 7 or people crying like babies because they want everything easy. The people asked for harder content and when we got it. So really and truely if you think about it Bungie did listen and give us what we asked for just not in a way we thought of.

2 RepliesThis is Amazing.

4 RepliesYou all still assume it had a answer. bungie could have released it A. Not finished B. Had zero clue it didn't work. C. Knew it doesn't have a answer and still said " Send It"
-
Well we could of just flown our ship straight to the forge. Ya know it's a big open area.
-
13 Repliesdo you really view the bergusia forge as new content? the only reason i would ever want to play it is for that shader. It's the same as the other forges. At least Niobe Labs was something we could all solve together. I had 4 different streams open and had a picture of the current puzzle as well as any other tools I needed to try to solve it. Now what's the point? So we can get an emblem and a ghost everyone is gonna get minutes after we solve it?
-
You know I gotta give them credit though, In 4 years they never once made a puzzle we couldn’t beat, so now they’ve found our breaking point and won’t do something like this again.
-
10 RepliesIf it never get's solved it would be the most awesome thing in the history of video games! Although Anthem does not have multiplayer and just watching game play made a wee bit dizzy...looks better and better the days go by.

Edited by HoboMegatron: 1/10/2019 12:01:15 AMLol. It is kinda funny watching things you knew would go badly explode in someone’s face. I’d say poor bungie, but they keep making bizarre or dumb decisions
-
9 RepliesTheyll feed the solution to streamers at some point like they give solutions to getting through the raids.
-
11 RepliesUnfortunately, there are Cheeto covered Devs at Bungie right now basking in how smart they are that nobody figured it out. They learned nothing.
-
“I don’t got that much time on my hands and I feel uninvolved as a regular player” Yea, neither does chat helping and stays all stream being a vital part of the community.
-
4 RepliesIncorrect wording... Activision cut ties with Bungie, not the other way around. 2 more years were left in the contract. Do you think it magically goes away? Activision will have to pay for those 2 years or end up in a legal battle for breach of contract.
-
8 RepliesRumor is someone at BUNGIE is getting disciplined or fired for all the negative controversy that this created.
-
12 RepliesThe new forge is just like the other forges. You really didn't miss much. It unlocked the box quest though. But it's another grind these forums will be crying about.
-
8 RepliesCareful there. Dumbed down Bungie apologists lurking, ready to jump and nibble at your bits.
-
2 RepliesNah, they'll eventually give the answers to one of their pet streamers and let them claim worlds first
-
2 RepliesPersonally, Id like it to be solved. Im not going to solve it, but Id like to complete it..

in a way I hope we don't solve this thing to show Bungie that they have gone too far with trying to please the streamers instead of 99.99% of their customers
Or put another way, all those man hours that went into the crappy puzzles could have gone into content that all players would have enjoyed. Remember when all the Guardians were infected with glowing swarms of nanites? It wasn't very streamable, but it was damn cool.
