Dear Bungie - A letter from your fans regarding Niobe Labs
We want to play your game. Not watch streamers play it for us. This kind of secret puzzle is great as a hidden element inside a release, but terrible as the only content of a release. Even as a "micro-release" this is a waste of everyones time. Your twitch viewership does not actually influence how we play this game. This is beyond disapointing. Your drip feed of season pass content is proving to be a terrible experience. Please stop telling us how you want us to play your game and let us experience it for ourselves.
Edit #1 - A divided response. Thats great, and expected, it keeps the conversation moving forward. Please keep it civil, we're all here because we love this game and expect big things from it.
Edit #2 - As of 5pm PST yesterday Bungie has decoupled the puzzle completion from the final forge access based on community feedback. Thanks to your support, they heard us, and responded by allowing everyone access to the content. I think this is a win for the community and fingers crossed, this debacle will influence how they roll out future content.

6 RepliesHaving watched quite bit of the streams by Datto and xGladd there is no way this could be done solo. Once you get to level 5 and 6 you have to start dismantling bombs and you simply won't have time to do those on your own. Also in level seven the room gets split up into sections with barriers again giving you no time to kill adds and bosses and diffuse the bombs. 21 hours in and they just keep hitting brick wall after brick wall. This would take days and days of game play for the average player due to limited time. These guys have been going at it for 21 hours straight and still not finished. With all this said please explain how this is for the average player?

2 RepliesI’ve figured out the reason behind time gates in their DLC. Besides drawing out content, companies like MS and Sony have timeframes to request a refund on digital purchases. If they draw it out it’s pretty hard to get a refund for the utter disappointment.

I want to play new content as soon it drops not wait 15/24 hours till a fireteam of streamers figured it out, and btw alot of streamers had to quit to sleep or see their kids. I agree. I just wanted to play the game. I didn’t sign up for having to figure out all this puzzle stuff in an FPS. I mean, I get it, puzzles are cool and clever, but this just seems like.. too much. It’s unnecessarily complicated. Putting exotics behind these puzzles I get I guess, but all this just to access the content? That’s just too much.

Bungie continues to F up. This is ridiculous, I want to play the content I paid for but unless I'm an ancient historian with 0 life and able to dedicate every waking moment to this puzzle, I can't play it. I paid for content I can play not a puzzle box. This was the last straw, I hope this franchise burns to the ground. Biggest regret was buying this expansion.
