Playing Gambit this morning. First round we summoned our prime and killed it with no problems. Other team barely had 1/3 of their motes.
Second round was considerably more difficult, which isn't really a surprise. It's obvious the game is set up that way.
Third round. The third round was terrible. Waves kept spawning but we couldn't get our prime. I thought it was maybe the invasions. We finally hear that we can summon a prime evil. The other team's prime was half dead but it wasn't impossible to come back. Everyone banks and there's still someone out on the field. Look around and see a hunter jump onto the center platform , dance in front of the bank, wave and then....HE JUMPED OFF THE PLATFORM WITH 14 MOTES!
Round ends. Post match screen comes up and he lost 60 motes.
I'm speechless. It's been bothering me all morning. I may not be able to play Gambit anymore without being triggered.
EDIT: for everyone thinking that I'm literally experiencing PTSD over this, I was joking. Didn't think an over the top statement like that needed a sarcasm tag, my bad. 😁
Thanks for the responses everyone!

I won a game with a teammate that lost 70 motes. I got 20 invading kills trying to balance out the scales. It just made me realise that Gambit is really not fun and that I was making the other team miserable by constantly invading because we had a teammate that was just the worst ever. After I got the Malfeasance I just stopped playing it for good.

Edited by Philimanjaro105: 10/26/2018 11:23:50 PMI literally had this same thing happen to me. Hunter and everything. Dab emoted in front of the bank. He also regularly jumped in the invasion portal for what I assume was just to suicide, because he died immediately every time. Sent him a message afterwards just saying “asshole”, then him and one of his buddies kept spamming me with invites and messages. Then boom. I got suspended.
Met the worst guardian ever today
Really are you sure? I bet there are worser guardian out there, we just need the proof of their existance.

You think this game is toxic you should play for Honor, that game makes this game look like paradise

Edited by psRuggR: 10/27/2018 2:55:43 AMThose are the types of players I block via their PSN profile. You won’t get matched with them again. Though I just do it in extreme cases. Good luck and happy and gaming! Edit: stupid autocorrect.

Massive troll. But hey, reporting for sabotage is possible.
-
2 RepliesI've had that happen twice, BOTH times the pieces of absolute shit were in the same clan as the opposing team. Name and shame should be legalized.

10 RepliesSome people just want to watch the world burn....I see players doing toxic stuff all the time that makes you wanna rage quit and I just don’t understand why people play just to ruin other people experience
-
Yeah unfortunately I’ve seen a lot of Gambit trolls lately. One game this guy was running all over the place, but wasn’t killing anything. Would stand around doing nothing. Stood back and watched as we fought the primeval. Another we just needed the last bank so he waved and jumped off the edge. Had a couple of similar experiences to these as well. I always report them for sabotage.

I know who the bozo is... He trolled two of our games as well! We asked him what he was doing, and I quote... "I am just trying to keep things interesting." What a butthead!

3 RepliesHad sort of the same thing happen to me. We dominated the first round, although had to shoot at one of my teammates to turn around to summon the primeval, and theeeen second round begins. Right when were about 10 motes away from summoning, that same teammate and his buddy decide to dance at spawn so me and the other guy had to bank the rest of the motes. Then when we got the primeval out, him and his friend still doing the same thing and we lost round 2. Round 3 went the same as round 1 thankfully but then I get a message after the match telling me "Lets not take people's motes when you're not even killing mobs, help or back up". Meanwhile the scoreboard showed I killed the most and he killed the least lmao.

Talking about the worst guardian?? Crashing the enemies and won the first round. Second match we had the Malf boss spawned and the dude simply pulled out his ghost, turn to my direction while i was right next to him and BOOM! He left and we lost the round with the malf boss

11 RepliesThis is EXACTLY why they don’t have matchmaking for raids. Even nightfalls Good for that guy though, that’s absolutely hilarious. Don’t take it so serious man.

He probably was just trolling you. I can see how this can be much more fun than banking notes.

7 RepliesI still get triggered when I'm killed by a graviton in crucible.

This has been my experience every other match of Gambit...I love the gameplay and concept, however, I've experienced so many matches with players exactly as you've described that I seldomly go into it anymore...It equivalent to playing crucible and continually walking off map like a lemming...crazy how one player can literally destroy ur chances at winning

1 ReplySeen this alot lately, people grabbing motes like skyrats form Finding Nemo.. "mine mine mine mine mine!" Then off themselves by standing in fire, bullets, leaping off ledges... I lose often enough cause i'm solo in there. Its kinda becoming a frustrating mode to play on top of QB/SS/Snipers non stop. XD

4 RepliesGambit is prep for D3 in my opinion, where there'll likely be zones in open world where guardians fight one another and the usual enemies.

Allot of us who have experienced actual violence IRL have difficulty with pvp style game types and I take the feeling with me all day also. Sometimes you have to acknowledge that there is evil in the world and they need to do things to other people even in a game to avoid seeing a piece of human excrement in the mirror.

9 RepliesEdited by Darkhero57: 10/27/2018 4:50:39 AMI feel, I meet awful players all the time in Gambit, and I'm convinced some of them are bots at this point. Had one dude yesterday with 0 motes deposited, 0 motes lost... meaning he didn't pick up a single mote the entire game. Dude literally just sat at the bank and waited the whole game, didn't even kill blockers. I've had people who puppy follow and steal motes just to die immediately over and over, people who freeze up as soon as we get invaded, literally standing dead center of a sightline for them, and even dudes who fail the jumps on the Tangled Shore map with 15 motes multiple times. The worst for me was last week, though. Had a decent first round, but I carried hard, and in the second their whole team switched to Queenbreaker for some bullying. My teammates were literal potatos, standing at the bank and feeding, killing enemies and not picking up motes, picking up 1-3 and then running back to dunk, or even standing straight in the middle of groups of enemies and not shooting or moving. (EDIT: Forgot to mention, this was the game I encountered the Ascendant Primeval Servitor, which is why it was such a devastating blow) It's absolutely awful, at least here on Xbox, and I'd pay money for a better matchmaking system.

I am the guy who loses the match so that the hell, that is Gambit, is over quicker. *does dance*
