I played about 10 matches of Gambit yesterday and in almost half someone on my time kept trying to get 15 motes whenever we need literally 5 for the Primeval and they were all high in power. I lost every round someone did this. If you're one of those people and you see this please just for the sake of us all just deposit motes... it's not hard.
Edit: Gambit also boils down to your luck of getting heavy ammo to use something op. ( *Cough* *Cough* Sleeper, Queens breakers, and 1k Voices) I'm not saying I want them nerfed but they are indeed op.

5 RepliesThat one kid who goes for 15 when you need 2 motes for the prime might as well all sit down in the middle and get smashed by the invader Dont even start me on that one person who runs behind you picking up all your motes after you took down 10 to 15 ads lol

7 RepliesThank god I haven’t bought forsaken yet I’d get banned for calling my teammates fu**wits

Bounties my friend. I personally do not play Gambit or PVP. But I hear the rage folks have... It's funny. They rage their team is not letting them hoard kites so they can complete their bounty. But then rage others are doing the same bounty after they have finished. I just shake my head at it now.

2 RepliesLearned today....NEVER play Gambit on Tuesday... kept running into teammates that were AFK... end of game all zeroes on their score. Just getting their 3 game in.

Edited by Dredd_fan: 10/24/2018 3:53:09 AMYes it happens a lot. Players don't think that depositing 5 -10 motes every time they hit those numbers unleashes a small/medium blocker and that can be annoying and time wasting for the other team. I always laugh when I see a player has deposited something like 15 motes, killed 50 hostiles and lost 32 motes lol. So much for working as a team.

1 ReplyMmmmm Reese Cups..... I digress 😳

3 RepliesWhy would god deposit his motes? You can’t tell god what to do.
-
God was your teammate in Gambit?
-
12 RepliesEver hear of a thing called “Bounties”? The community wanted them and now that we have them no one wants anyone to complete them.
-
Are you liking those little white triangles thingys ? Sorry my dude I pick them up for points . Deposit sheesh someone needs to learn how to play gambit ...
-
Here one when your solo player and I sit in queue for like 5mins because it 7/8
-
I used to hate gambit, now I only join fireteams through the app. Maybe lose once for every 10 games
-
That’s what she said
-
If I go for 15 motes, I do it in one wave. Never two.

It’s great when I get killed by a sleeper and my teammates act like nobody is invading us. Then they proceed to get picked off one by one, healing our primevil to max after it was 1/3rd of the way dead.
sleeper death was because I had no cover.
Plus my teammates somehow don’t know how to use supers on the ads, especially when I’m making orbs regularly.

4 Replies15 motes should be an exception, a happen-stance, not the objective of any player. Depositing 5 motes at a time is far more productive in every way. Even 10 is way out. Im sure we could turn this into a Holy Hand Grenade bit somehow. As soon as you get the audio cue to deposit and get a primevil. Do it. Font invade right way unless the other team has a ton of undeposited motes. As a team, clear the wizards and adds, then invade.

I try to give players the benefit of the doubt in these situations as the blame really falls on Bungie for putting bounties like “send a large blocker” and putting in powerful gear just for playing 1-3 matches. These people don’t give a shit about winning or gambit.
-
I've done that a couple times but 5 to 9 works for me. What I have noticed is the more you have the more the enemy becomes harder to kill and some instantly become the worlds sharpest shooter that can shoot you dodging and weaving between rocks or whatever at ease and some from across the entire map, even the minions. I think it's a cheap mechanic that is in this game when your health isn't that low but you're instantly killed. So, in your defense, less is better.

I like when the match starts and the enemy team just deposit 5's constantly so by the time my team gets 15 each, we're swamped with blockers, then an invader shows up and everyone gets nuked then they all rage quit because we have exactly fifteen motes deposited, my three five-mote trips.

discombobulated scrub
no spoilers
Gambit is only good if you play with clan members or picked team mates. Otherwise it’s pot luck. It’s a team game but a lot of people are doing their own thing . You can still do bounties and be a good team player as well...I did not hard. Also the people who do nothing, hang around to invade and do nothing...not even helping clearing enemies and to the people who give up/ leave game truly ruin the game experience.
-
Blame bungie for these shitty ass quests and bounties.
-
2 RepliesThe problem lies in the quest structure for dailies/weeklies. It asks people to misplay, or to make redundant and dangerous plays to get quest procs.
-
And then they go and die and pull the team back smh
-
2 RepliesI didn't know God was into gambit. But he knows all things, so if he isn't depositing there is definitely a reason.

I’ll probably have my thousand voices before people bank their motes.
I’m six clears deep, not counting this week.
