The only problem that I can see with snipers is the lack of ammo at spawn. The skill gap is much higher than with shotguns or fusion rifles, so snipers should get more shots for their inevitable misses.

Use a sniper as your heavy, ammo problem solved m8. Then you can also go beast with a shotty in your special slot.

2 RepliesI disagree, the whole point of having 2 special ammo on spawn is to prevent people whoring special all game.

8 RepliesOnly thing they need to fix on snipers is the flinch. It’s a bit much especially from the side
-
1 ReplyNo people are only wanting this because they need to practice but people who are already good get another and that equals 3 kills

Edited by michael: 9/3/2018 2:55:08 PMabsolutely not. keep them how they are. two shots is two instant kills from any range which is completely fair. i’ve been having a blast sniping since the weapon slot update. been using the aachen the whole time. i get at least one kill from the two bullets that i spawn with, and i would say 40% of the time i get two kills. i’m above average at sniping for sure but i am far from the best, the people who can easily get two kills with two bullets. if you increase the ammo off spawn to three bullets or god forbid a full clip of sniper ammo then people who are talented are going to be getting three (or four) one hit kills from any range on the map every time they respawn which is out of hand, and it will only lead to snipers getting nerfed. snipers as a weapon class are totally fine right now in my opinion and don’t need any sort of tuning. if you think they need more ammo then you need to practice.

4 RepliesSnipers are ridiculous right now. I’ve been landing shots with my auto rifle on people using snipers and they don’t flinch at all and just head shot me left and right it seems some what broken to me.

Sniper rifles? How about trace rifles? 33 rounds? That’s dаmn crazy.

I say the only issue is the ammo economy of all special weapons upon enemy death. When someone you kill drops special it should be available to solely yourself for 10 seconds, and everyone else for the remaining 20
-
The trade off is that you can literally map people with it twice before you need to hunt for ammo, whereas shotgun and fusion rifle users have to put themselves at a much greater risk. The amount of ammo we spawn with in PvP is fine, and I knew it wouldn't be long before people started asking for more ammo for snipers. Players now have to hunt for ammo, and that is a good thing for weapons that need special ammo.

The only problem that I can see with snipers is the lack of ammo at spawn. The skill gap is much higher than with shotguns or fusion rifles, so snipers should get more shots for their inevitable misses.
Snipers lack ammo at spawn? Do you mean zero ammo or need more ammo?

You spawn with two instant kill shots from any distance. The problem with giving lesser players more ammo to practice with is that you’re also giving the high tier players more ammo to deal instant death with 2 is fine
-
Only problem is if you get a sniper kill the special ammo is across the map likely by their teammates and this is a disadvantage. Perhaps a headshot snipe in pvp instantly puts a round into the reserves instead of it dropping in no mans land. This would solve the problem and reward the skill required to hit the snipe.

I think its okay as is. Special weapons seem to be intended to setup opportunities, not be a crutch. There's a discrepency in risk/reward when comparing Shotty and Sniper, so I believe that compensates for the higher demand of traditional shooter skill from the Sniper.

2 RepliesI'm inclined to agree, but for a different reason. With the new ammo economy, shotguns and fusions are at an advantage (grenade launchers as well to an extent) since they are used at short or close range and are standing on top of the next brick they need. Snipers however must fight to get more ammo to feed their special weapon. A couple solutions: - an extra shot at the start. - an extra shot on brick pickup. Although if the perk (to which I cannot remember the name) where you can shoot ammo to pick it up returns - especially on a primary like a scout - then this might be less of an issue.
