28 RepliesNo matter how Bungie "fixes" D2, this community will be exposed for what it is. Toxic. Bungie clearly isn't the only one with communication issues! It's obvious they've handled the release of D2 poorly thus far, there's just NO excuse for how pessimistic & vile the playerbase has shown to be... We've witnessed EA change course with BF2 over the controversy with microtransactions, Ubisoft dropping yearly AC releases in favor of better quality, Activision and Call of Duty... okay maybe CoD isn't a good example of changing for the better (even if WW2 setting is new again) but you see the pattern here! Companies DO listen to feedback eventually, or right away if it's delivered EFFECTIVELY. Man up. Voice your valid concerns like an educated functioning member of society. Move on. And hope for a response/ change. This is how the world mostly works. Bungie is handling this game like an ongoing consistently evolving universe as it always intended, so let's keep the communication open and productive to help facilitate the changes we want!! OR we can continue to bash, belittle, and resentfully begrudge our favourite franchise only for the developer to turn it around thru eventual updates and leave those who created hate forums and desperate discussions to look like crazy maryters who sacrificed their own self dignity and respect for a "better" game...get over yourselves. We're better than this. Or maybe we're no better than the Bungie we so desperately love to hate.

Theres no update yet because... My guess is they understand theres nothing to do and we feel hosed. I bet there planning big changes. Im sure the play count us super low. Haven played D1 from beta to end. I haven't played in a couple weeks.. I don't understand how all they learned by the end of D1 seemed ignored and started from scratch with new ideas.. Implement new ideas onto the sequel , and dont tat us dumb and re skin content. Old content should be a bonus in addition to a full game of new content.. Theres not much new. We were all exhausted of D1 content by the end of D1. Theres just nothing to do besides farm bright engrams. Random perks on weapons won't make the game replay able. It would of help a little. I just wish there was a reason to play. For me. I don't understand. Good luck you already have my money for first 2 expansions. I will not buy the later sadly. Unless well you know. Also when did veteran players get something. Been waiting. And getting old gear that was destroyed that wasnt mine isn't that great. P.s. instead of a post of whats changing (since live stream is cancelled). You could easily read off or discuss what is changing and maybe talk about why and how you came to those conclusions. (Maybe even grab some one from the mail room as a sacrificial slaughter to the community and say he made all the D2 decisions).

1 ReplyHalf the forum has been adressing the games issues for 2 months now. If Bungie doesn't know what to work on, and doesn't have a gameplan by now to fix it, they never will. Its a very wise move to be transparent about their plans going forward, and stop trying to hype their dlc, and that's what I expect to read about tomorrow. I, For one, can't wait to read it. But trust me, if its another shitshow, it will be the nails in the coffin for D2.

To bad they won't stop spending all their money on marketing this P.O.S game and spend it on development. This was a good start I guess.

Bungie you need to fix ALL OF THE EXOTICS IN GAME, they all need a buff severely, give borealis the white nail perk, give alone as a god the white nail perk also, buff snipers, buff hand cannons, re do subclasses so that there is more different skills to choose even if it just means to pick r out of all the 8 whole skills we have. Buff grenades to be at the power of a vortex or void wall grenade. And please bring back power weapons that feel powerful, such as Rocket Launchers with 2 in the chamber AND can track AND has cluster bomb to give us some type of knock off gjallarhorn. Buff hunters and MOST OF ALL know the difference between PvE and PvP. He'll completely abandon PvP if it means PvE can be way more fun, please.

I think there’s a good chance that Deej or Luke Smith falsely sets off the building’s fire alarm to stop the blog from happening. One of the hardest jobs in the world is to look busy when you don’t feel much like doing anything. Their biggest challenge from here on out will be continually trying to convince the player base that they’re working hard to fix the game while not actually not fixing much at all. They developed a bare bones game to make it much easier to service/update much easier than with D1. They were likely slapping each other on the back and celebrating how much less work D2 would require. 2018 was supposed to be their year to sit back and relax.
