1 ReplyFallout 4 made me sad. Like really seriously sad sad. Was really looking forward to it but it ended up being nothing like what I expected from a fallout game..
-
Fallout 4, as it was just more immersive. Skyrim loses me the second you leave the first area, everything is too open, too empty, everything looks like a texture.
-
Skyrim because its in VR

22 RepliesBoth games have pretty lame stories and are drastically dumbed down compared to their previous entries. Skyrim's world and lore is a lot more intriguing than Fallout 4's, however, Fallout 4's combat is a lot more fun than Skyrim's(this may be an unfair comparison since Fallout has guns). For these reasons, I'd say that I like them equally. Also, that first sentence doesn't mean I don't like these games. I've put over one hundred hours into both games, so I enjoyed them quite a bit.

Skyrim has a wider range of potential character archetypes you can roleplay as, but I prefer the setting of Fallout 4.

I like both.

Fallout

I loved the BoS and the settlement building in Fallout 4, but BoS is the ONLY character archetype I EVER role played. I've gotta say Skyrim is better cause Im okay with roleplaying a LOT more types of characters

1 ReplySkyrim, as it doesn't have Preston Garvey and the skills system is more in depth. However the settlement building system in Fallout 4 was great, just wish most of the DLC wasn't based around it..

Skyrim EASILY! •Has tons of more mods (benefit of being out longer but even then it's just more popular so it gets more attention). I put 500+ hours into the vanilla Skyrim before they did a definitive edition for the XB1 that for the first time came with mods. It's as if playing two very different skyrims now. •DLC is just more interesting. As another said, FO4 focuses to much in the building, no one gives a shit about that stuff, I want quests to go explore and shoot baddies. That said the DLC does add nice additions to the building if you're that player that likes to build/micro-manage settlements. •Skyrim just looks better. Could be my bias towards med-evil fantasy kind of worlds as I don't like very many post apocalyptic games, FO3 got lucky I even beat it and I never tried new vegas and have still yet to beat FO4, it simply isn't an interesting franchise to me. (So I wouldn't care if they did a FO5 😉)

Skyim. The land of Fallout 4 was just so bland, and I hate how they made everything so colorful and saturated. And a few more things. -
I want to play every ES game ever. But their combat system is so garbage I can't play.

Can I choose Fallout 3?
-
I am going to vote neither, they are both snorefest empty openworlds. If anything get the previous iterations on the franchise. Even if that means fallout 3, just know New Vegas is light years better.

3 RepliesI'm in the minority, fo4 is my shit.
-
I’d choose just about any game over Fallout 4.
-
For some reason I prefer the World of Elder Scrolls over that of Fallout
-
They are both AWESOME. Seriously.
-
I haven't played Skyrim, but I do know that there is a lot of mods for both. So....
-
At todays prices....buy both!
-
I love both of them, but I’d have to choose skyrim.

Is that a real question? lol

Edited by blade329: 11/28/2017 6:58:16 PMBoth are real good and loaded with content. I've played Fallout 4 three times through and just finished Far Harbor for the first time.

Depends on what I feel like playing at the time.
