I got invited to the Destiny 2 Event!
just gonna edit this here cause people are seriously misunderstanding the timeline of events here.
people were annoucning that they were getting flown out, and i got salty for pretty much a day. then i realized how pointless my saltiness was and got over it, then other people got invited and Bungie really showed me i was wrong from the beggining, week? later i got invited out of the blue
Hey everybody! i just wanted to come out and say something about this. some of you may remember me from the early days of Destiny on these forums spouting all little fanciful theories on the lore and trying to really connect everyone with the story. my passion for this game has only grew and i've always strode to improve myself and the attitude of those around me. lately i've even started saying "being salty gets you no where"
so when the Destiny 2 Event was being teased by the bigger names of the community i got salty. i thought it was just the same people again and that nothing had changed, but i cooled down and got constructive, instead of accusatory i'd say what i didnt like about it and how i'd like to see it change.
then one by one alll these awesome people that i know and love started coming out saying the got invites, bigger podcasters and streamers and smaller too, and then i actually got one myself! (and i'm definitely not a big name, im practically a step above forum troll)
so first off, THANK YOU BUNGIE (Deej Cosmo Justin and literally anyone else who possibly helped this)
and second off, just stay positive Guardians, great things are upon us for Destiny 2, and i'll be one of the many large and small that will give you a first glance impression!

15 RepliesFirst off, who are you? And secondly, you get salty when you weren't invited yet when you get invited you come on here and tell us "YAY LOOK GUYS I GOT INVITED BUT DON'T BE SALTY IF YOU DIDN'T." Should have stayed gone.

I get why they are inviting youtubers, streamers, etc and it's a great move on their part. But I saw one guy post a video that he was invited and going. He has made 2 destiny videos in the last year

Last of my kind, stranded at the tower by troop reassignment after the war until I was finally able to snag a ship from an inattentive hanger. Forgot that I'm not a pilot and crashed after grabbing a ship with no fuel. Wound up in Dark Souls and had to fight my back to this realm. I get back to the tower and they hand me another ship to fly to a haunted, square puzzle peg. Think it's the borg and decloak while trying to set weapons to various frequencies. Crash into sumo wrestler ship that crashes into the evil accordion. Find worms. Fight worms. Stomp worms. Save the city from being sunk. Spend a few months watching the "towers finest" run circles with their capes, and butt flaps, and bathrodes. Always left out of the "real" fight because I can't jump and a cleaver can't make me fly across a room. Don't even care that I saved their city from giant worms. Reassigned back to my planet, my home. Everyone forgot how to pronounce "brumak" while I was gone. So what if I can't dance, or jump; those aren't important. I put the fun in funerals, so surely I can bring some kind of life to the party. It's just like any other engagement: finding the biggest, baddest, nastiest monster on the field, walk up to it, and telling them that their mom's a classy lady. What follows is usually a night to remember so long as the stairs have a handrail and the chairs aren't bolted to the floor.
