I know that I am not the only one who is tired of playing try hards who 5-0 everyone and I also know a good amount of PvP players who would like to see a list for these types of players to play each other. My suggestion is this.
1. When a person goes flawless during the week (on the current character, so they could go flawless 3x a week on the normal list) they are not allowed to play normal mode trials. Instead they are put into a new trials match making list, (Lets call it hard mode trials). This hard mode trials list lets players keep all of their special ammo each round. The rounds are extended. To win the game you must win 7 rounds instead of 5. 2 heavy rounds, R2 and R5, 1 crate per round and crates spawn in at a random point with no counter showing the location. The capture zone moves each round, and captures slower. No scope glint, no radar and no revive. Exotic weapons allowed. Match making based on wins. Sides flip each round.
Upon ultimate completion a new chest is available in the lighthouse, this chest would give players a new exotic emblem, armor set would be adept and provide bonuses to the user. Player would get 2 adept weapons. Players who beat this mode get a PvP gain bonus that boosts their rep and experience gained during the week by 25% and would have flaming fists. Twice-three times as much loot as normal mode.
2. For normal trials, all players start with this list during the week. No exotic weapons allowed. Special ammo is lost on death. Matching is random. Capture zone spawns in random spot. Sides flip each round. Heavy round spawns two crates again.
Upon flawless completion players get the normal loot they get now. Essentially this box would become a tier 2 chest. All gear is adept.
3. When a player goes flawless, the lighthouse is permanently unlocked as a social space but they can only get the chest there if they go flawless.
4. Lighthouse venders are added, including one to buy your card for the week. Kiosks to reclaim lost gear.
5. In all social areas there is an area to find a group to play with, just a basic LFG. LFG can show all game mode stats.
6. Lastly Osiris could bring exotic weapons and gear that are built specifically for PvP once a week like Xur does and you trade him passage coins to buy the loot.
Comment which Ideas you like and don't like.
I think this would get rid of the paid carries from people and make this fun mode more enjoyable for everyone who plays this game and would like to see the lighthouse before D2 comes out. I know my 600+ Friends list on my PS4 would be a lot more active in this game again.
Lets start a healthy conversation about what bungie can do to get people playing Destiny again and making trials a fun mode for everyone who is just a casual gamer.

5 RepliesEdited by zJDz: 4/18/2017 9:25:23 PMBiased poll. Where is the option for No? Better and easier solution than what you suggested: No boons. 9 wins equals flawless. 3 losses on a card before a reset. ***If you lose a game the Next win will remove that loss. *** Example: get to 8 wins zero losses. Lose the next game. Now you are 8 and 1. Win the next game. Now you are 8 and 0 again. Continue like this until you get 9 wins. This is a simple method that will allow more people to go flawless given enough time and teamwork. This will reduce carries, paid carries, and recoveries because more people will be able to do it themselves. This should also increase the population of trials making it more fun for everyone.
-
Sure it would be cool I guess... for 1% of the 1%. The small percentage of people who go flawless will be the only ones with access to this. Waste of time for bungie to develop.
-
Make it so flawless is achieved even with losses. That will put an end to paid carries.
-
Or, each week of trials you can get special tokens based on how far you make it. Make it to 7 wins and thats it? 7 tokens. Then, make the light house and subsequently the chest available after 20 tokens or something. Tokens are cleared from invintory to always make you work fir it.This way no matter your skill level you should, eventually, make it. This shouldn't bother elitists since it would still take you at least 3 weeks to get to the Lighthouse. I feel this is the way it should work. If you don't have the skill, you should have the patience to afford it (the tokens).

You realize that they would just have Hard mode trials carries...
-
Or just limit the passages you can buy or make them incredibly expensive glimmer wise

8 RepliesSimple fix and i have said before trials is meant to be for the best so have a min kd to paticipate then also if you go flawless on one character for the week thats it for that character. There doesnt need to be hard mode trials just clean out the bad players and get rid of repeating it will kill carries
-
11 RepliesI sure am glad the devs don't take 90% of the posts on here seriously
-
I personally do carries to challenge myself (not paid). If bungie added a ranked playlist of some sort I wouldn't touch trials after i got my flawless runs.
-
From a trials player, that wouldnt fix the paid carry problem, add in more loot and a exotic emblem? people would pay even more to get it, it would make account recovs appear more often, * iv been flawless already this week? well ill just use someone elses account or not buy all boons* really easy to get around. honestly so many people have thrown out ideas and theres always going to be some work around to it. trials isnt perfect but stop trying to make it easier for the lower skill based and harder for the upper skill base. bungie has said trials inst meant for everyone and if your only goal is to go flawless, keep trying or look for someone to carry you. if the lighthouse was so easily accessible then what would be the point of doing it? besides its just a game.

2 RepliesEdited by GBreezy: 4/19/2017 8:08:15 PMThere are 3 super easy ways to make trials better for everyone (speaking as someone who has gone flawless 8 or so times) 1. Remove heavy ammo completely. Its too one-sided. 2. Everyone starts with full secondary ammo and once its gone, its gone. No more. 3. Once you have gone flawless once that week, youre account is now locked to grouping with players who have also gone flawless. And ONLY players who have gone flawless. No more paid carries, no steamrolling noobs, no more ammo issues.

6 Replies"hurr durr I'm too shit to get flawless so I want bungie to make it less difficult hurr durr"
-
I suggest keeping trials far away from destiny 2.
-
The only solutions that world fix trials from those who have no life and profit from those who have no skill would be to either get rid of trials, or you get a set amount of cards per character to use. (Example--each character can only claim 3 cards. Or maybe each account can only run 5 cards a day? Something like that. If you try and make it stat based match making try hards will just manipulate stats to profit.

1 ReplyThis wouldn't stop carries. Paid, or just friends helping a clanmate. Simply put, the guys carrying can dismantle their card at 8 wins. The carried doesn't. They get a new card, win another match, carried gets a flawless, they get another card, and a new carry. You still get salty. Besides, I know people who run it for themselves then do it again to help friends and clanmates. It would hardly be fair to punish those who want to play, but won't be able to play in the normal matchmaking version simply because the only one online has already gone flawless. But still the best answer is to just get rid of trials.
-
No matter what is done people can still pay via account recoveries
-
Just only have 1 entry per character per week that would solve alot of it
-
Probably the worst of all the "revamp trials" ideas in awhile. Love the creativity and the thought put in but wouldn't work I don't think!
-
Coming from a day one player who's never been flawless, still a no from me. It's like punishing people for being good.
-
Not happening since destiny has breathed its last breath 3 weeks ago.
-
8 Repliesjust put a vendor in the lighthouse where you can get a passage for elite trials. let the sweatiest of the sweaty, sweat their asses off in that playlist, and have regular trials for casuals.
-
154 RepliesSeems like you just want to make trials easier for yourself dear. By waiting a day or two all the good players would have gone through already so you waltz to flawless. The way it is now is most balanced and fair way
-
25 RepliesDon't pretend like you give a damn about paid carries. What you described would only increase the amount of paid carries if anything. You just want an easier time going flawless just like most of the people in this community. If you guys spent as much time practicing and getting better at trials as you did trying to get bungie to change it then you would be gods.

5 RepliesThe following comment is a slightly edited version of my comment on a YouTube video... It is here as a response to the PvP vs PvE argument in the comments of this thread, apologies if anyone is hypersensitive to swearing, I'm Australian and this comment was from 3 weeks ago, sue me lmao :) Trials is what ruined this game, I remember a time before trials of Osiris, where things were barely ever destroyed by the community saying things are unbalanced in an unbalanced game mode, literally everytime I played trials everyone would say flying in, 'I hope we get the good spawn", a mode that's still to this day plagued with rubbish connections, connection manipulations in general and PAID CARRIES, PAID F*CKING CARRIES, can you believe that?? All this in the "most competitive mode in Destiny has to offer", what does that say really?? 2 years and no changes to that specific thing everybody has expressed their opinion on the fact that all of this is a boatload of ass... Remember when exotics were good?? Guess what ruined that, the PvP and VERY large group of the Streaming community complaining about being killed in an FPS game, noice... If there was no PvP the game would most likely have weekly events, an assload of content and then some, imagine if the game Destiny was largely based off, the Borderlands franchise, had PvP, how f*cking AWFUL would BL2 and the Pre Sequel of been?? Theres a reason the PvP arenas were removed in the 1st game lmao... Not to mention the only reason you can use PvP as an excuse for that is because its such a lazy piece of repetitive content that is artificially difficult and different because players are more inconsistent than AI however at its core the same damn thing, PvE wouldn't be anywhere near as repetitive and monotonous if they didn't make like every AAA game franchise and stick PvP in as an afterthought because its popular, the problem with Destinys manifestation of PvP is it wasn't developed properly and it doesn't fit into a game like this the guns and abilities prove that alone, Yr3 and they STILL cant get PvP right, update after update, patch after patch, look at the forums, and reddit... Moral of the story and this long winded as f*ck comment is simple, if youre going to put PvP into this game make sure you implement it properly like Titanfall, Battlefield or even Cod of all games, there were all developed with PvP in mind, do everthing to make it right, or make a choice, 1 or the other, PvP or PvE because its quite clear that Bungovision still doesn't have a f*cking clue... And the way were going, looks like that's not going to change anytime soon... Sidenote: It would be a waste to make this a game focused on PvP (Which it basically is considering what mode gets the say of what gets nerfed or buffed) that team that designs the raids are amazing, raids are in my opinion the real Destiny experience, Trials, shoot some dudes and don't lose at least 45 times in a row, such riveting mechanics lol

It's easy to loophole though... just go 7-0 and reset
