There has been so much discussion on these forums about changing Trials of Osiris. Let's make it SBMM or let's make it a tiered competition or let's force those who have been flawless into their own category. All of these different things to make trials more "inclusive." The question I have to everyone is why do you want the lighthouse so bad that you have to change the system to get there. If it's grimoire, then I think there is an argument there. If a completionist wants the grimoire and can't get it, I see that as a potential problem, but don't ask to change the system for trials, petition Bungie to remove the grimoire from the lighthouse. Put that grimoire somewhere else like trials participation and playing a certain amount of games. If it's the rewards, then no, absolutely not a good reason to change the system. A player can achieve the same exact rewards by getting to 5 or 7 wins, except the lighthouse has adept versions and ornaments. That's the only difference. In that same way, trials is essentially a tiered system. Those that can get to five wins, you get a reward for that, a sweet piece of armor. For those who get to seven wins, you get a nice weapon. For those that can get all the way to flawless, well you get that adept gear that shows that you have completed the ultimate test in destiny PvP. If it's just to see the lighthouse, well you've got to earn that too. It's an experience that only the best get to experience because they worked to be the best. If it's the stat that says you made it, well that's absolutely not a reason to change the system. Ultimately this is the question. Why do you care about the lighthouse so much?
