Drop rate of less than 5% for an exotic sniper that we had year one?! You're -blam!-ing retarded. Seriously, as smart as you are you have a tendency to make really stupid decisions.

24 RepliesTo all that are calling OP whiny or entitled, let me explain why I disagree. If the icebreaker was a new exotic, I would say OP is a whiny baby. But it's not. We've had icebreaker since the launch of destiny, and they're returning it to us with the drop rate percent that raid exotics have. That's not fair. I already have ice breaker but I still think that 5% is too low. You could argue that OP is complaining that he didn't get what he wanted right away, and to an extent I can understand that. But again - we've already earned our ice breaker. We shouldn't have to wait to get it [i]again.[/i]

I haven't done the nightfall at all, for the Icebreaker. My drop rate is 0 * 0 = 0 or 0 tries/0 completions = 0.

I'll bet my God-roll matador that this guy was begging for exotics to "feel special again like in year 1" because of 3 of coins. Isn't this what you wanted to get back to? Doing the same thing over and over to get a different drop? Because, congratulations!

2 Replies5% drop rate is fine, play ff14 when you had to farm atmas for your relic weapon around a 10% drop rate and you needed 12 of them just to kick start it, or some of the rare mounts from WoW are a 0.3% drop.

For Me it's like this, nightfall for the longest time has been the case of the effort does not match the Reward, now we are having Bountys for rubbish gear. there is only one in three Bountys that anyone cares about, the drop rate is terrible considering how much time we have left before it does not exist anymore, if they wanted to play hardball for the weapon everybody wants, they should've done it a long time ago instead of giving out terrible rewards in nightfall's. I do not think the dropout rate should be even close to being this bad because we will have no time to use it the closer we get to destiny 2. when people open the weapon bounty and for the ninth time in a row you get kicked in the nuts with some Vendor weapon you can buy any day of the week, it starts to get a bit Much , I could understand a slow drop rate, just not this slow considering it comes only once a week we probably only have 40 weeks left to do destiny as we know it

1 ReplyI agree. And to people saying "It makes it feel like year one 1" you're wrong. You could run VOG for two chances on each character, then crota for two chances on each character, and then one nightfall on each character. If It was like year 1, I could get Icebreaker year two from WOTM, The nightfalls ( The Sunrise Bounty and the Activity Rewards ) hell even Siva Heroics ( I got my Hawkmoon from Tiger Strikes ). Just saying, there were way more chances to get a drop in year one.

Holy cow it is to give us something to do. It is about the chase not the catch. Heck when you get it exactly what in the hell you plan to do with it? It has about zero value in the game. I have turned in 3 of them bounties ever since it started and not even got anything useful but it sure is fun having a worthless weapon to chase after again.

I'm torn on this. It gives me a reason to run the nightfall, but the fact that I have a year 1 sitting in my vault and at one point back then I dismantled at least 10 because I had one on each character...it's a little absurd in some respects.

Enough with these posts. Day one player, maybe day two or three, I'm not sure, but come on already. This game rarely hands crap out for free. ITS SO MUCH EASIER TO GET THESE WEAPONS IN Y3 THEN IT WAS IN Y1. Back in my day, we had to run the raid multiple times and the nightfall multiple times just for a crappy chance at an exotic. We never got the exotic we wanted. One in every fifty strikes would drop an exotic. One in every fifty bounties would drop an exotic quest. Exotic engrams DIDNT EXIST! Enough with these posts. You'll get it when you get it.

13 RepliesI got mine last week. It's just like year one, when you tried and tried for the Vex, Gjallarhorn, or a Crux and couldn't get one. This game hands you everything these days, and now, since you can't get one gun, you're all whiny little babies.

Buddy this is cake compared to year one. I did the nightfall every week all three characters since the Dawning and I finally got it on my 9th try. It was so nice to have a reason to do the nightfall again. In year one I did the nightfall ever week all three characters and I ran VoG and Crota literally every week and I never got one. I had to get mine from Xur I have still not got one as a drop until tonight.

This is nothing compared to year 1 as others have correctly pointed out. It was nice to have a real reason to run NF again. Took me 9 tries and it was exciting (again) to get the drop.
