After all the negativity on the forums here I just want to post something positive.
I
AM
LOVING
STRIKE SCORING!
Strikes have Always been my favo Destiny activity and it is a blast seeing all those medals and kills pop up in my screen. Dragonsbreath + scoring + enemy spawn location = hella FUN
I have to say Bungie; Well done!
Anyone else loving this feature?
*Edit; You can see your individual score by scrolling to the right at the scoring screen!
*Edit; I cant believe Cozmo replied :') #Nerdgasm

1 ReplyThe only thing I'd rather see with Strike Scoring is Individual Scoring, and Bounties based on it. I figured Strike Scoring would fix the AFK/not helping problem, but it didn't. I still end each Strike with nearly double the other players Medals, and about 45-60% of the Score just by myself. Kind of irks me whenever I see the Reward Screen and that's the case...

Yea a feature that should of been in game day 1
-
I'm not going to lie....im not really a fan of pve but i do enjoy the new system.... to bad their aren't any "new" strikes
-
1 ReplyStrike scoring is so far my favorite destiny addition so far, I always used to play Halo with scoring on so this is right up my alley. Please keep strike scoring permanent!!
-
Had a blast - really enjoy the feature - I thought it was fairly ingenious on Bungie's part in bringing strikes back - I especially love Zavalla's strike bounties and NF bounty with light-leveled drops.
-
Agree! I've never really enjoyed strikes much, just did them because had to, but this adds a level of fun that can keep me playing them for hours now!
-
Agreed
-
I totally agree!! Strike scoring and Vanguard Elite bounties are an awesome addition to the game!
-
I'm right there with ya! Destiny is back in my game rotation. I'm SUPER competitive, so the fact that I can compete in the strike playlist is amazeballz. I'm not sure if that's what they were going for... My main objective is still to beat the strike (obviously), but with the added bonus of having the highest score and or medals.
-
I agree. Love it. Great addition.
-
4 RepliesSeems to have cut down on afk'ers since now everyone is going for high score, so... SCORE!
-
3 RepliesReally enjoying it myself! Gives me something to work for while playing. Even if it is superficial, it's still fun.
-
Was expecting a sarcastic post. Got a legitimately positive post. These little things make me happy :)
-
Not only is strike scoring fun, but the strikes feel like they are fun again. Thank you Bungie!
-
I love it too! Gives a lot of fun factor to the game, however, Gold tier is really easy to achieve, I'd love some more challange in that! Great job Bungie! Also upvote, if you can't stop going for the rainbow!
-
3 RepliesAgreed...but...need more variety of medals! Crucible has chit ton.
-
1 ReplyStrike scoring is fun as hell. Also I'm happy for it because it has cut down on the amount of people who rush strikes, which is great
-
1 ReplyI like when at the end its says Me: 60 Medals Player 2 : 6 Medals Player 3 : 10 Medals And they were with you the entire Strike...
-
1 ReplyAgreed! Today was the first day that I had a chance to play since the update and I am having a lot of fun. I haven't even touched SRL yet. Strikes were my absolute favorite thing to do in Destiny and I'm so happy that they've changed for the better.

1 ReplyIts good but when your like me an lone wolf everything it's very difficult to get your bounties an shit done when you can't kill anything because the people your playing with kill everything before you can.
-
1 ReplyAgreed. Strike Scoring and the Vanguard Elite bounties have given me a reason to do strikes a lot more than I used to.
-
While I agree with you and enjoy the new scoring system, I am still getting matched up with really bad players. Tonight I had multiple strikes where I had almost 100 more kills than my teammates. Besides that though, it was a pretty fun night.
-
6 RepliesStrike scoring is pointless and I could care less. It would be nice if the points didn't pop up on my screen and blocking my point of view. I just want to shoot shit.

My experience has been that it has taken away any idea of Team Co-operation, limited as it was. Before, the idea was to take down as many enemy as possible, then kill the boss. During this, some team members got killed, and, if possible, another ran in and revived him. The rationale behind this was to have as many in the team actively killing, as possible. Dead team mates don't kill enemies. Now, this is not so, and the idea is to kill an many enemies as possible yourself, and to hell with any co-operation idea. Dead team mates mean more kills for you! This is carried to the extent of delaying revives, or not reviving at all, so you have no competition, and can rack up those points. The other thing I noticed is that the other team members constantly - constantly - run in front of me, stand in front of me, rush over to any group of enemies I might have cornered, and either super them, or do as I just mentioned, and generally take over. The purpose seems to be a deliberate attempt to limit my kills, so that theirs is higher. The result is that there are now two competitions: One - to kill enemy and get through the strike; Two - to limit my team member's kills as much as possible, and raise my own. I think this would really work well in Raids!

So what does strike scoring do? and why wasn't it in the game before.
