Hey there,
In Destiny, there are 2 ways Bungie addresses Users that show misconduct. This is through Account Bans and Restrictions. Account Restrictions are temporary, while Bans are permanent.
Bungie does not discuss or dispute either of them.
If a restriction time was not stated, then you'll have to wait till its over whenever its over.
If you're questioning a Account Ban or Restriction, the link below could be the answer as to why you were banned or restricted.
Please keep in mind that Poor or Unstable Internet Connection does qualify for a Restriction or even Ban in serious instances.
Please note that action will not be taken against an account based off reports alone. Bungie's security response team obtains proof of misdeeds.

Minimum restrictions are 2 weeks for regular crucible and 2 months for ToO and IB (competitive crucible). That being said your vacation was probably extended after the fact as you called attention to yourself before by saying that you did nothing wrong and thus forced the community's hand to prove your gross understatement.
Therefore I would not be surprised if your tenure of restriction is one of those permanent ones. Equally, if I were you, I would be expecting a console restriction inbound as well.

Given the trials history, if this doesn't result in a permaban, what will? More disconnects than a Scientology convention, and booted people who were streaming the incident at the time,
In your case, whatever the term of the restriction is probably not long enough. That said, expect your trials restriction to be 4xs as long as regular crucible. When that ends, don't be surprised if you get a follow up restriction or permanent ban (we can only hope).
Edit: You probably have nothing to worry about. Bungie has a FFFF policy
(First Felony For Free).
Your role as a moderator enables you immediately ban this user from messaging (bypassing the report queue) if you select a punishment.
