lol I can't rant about this enough but it needs to go away. Your players will enjoy CBMM (ConnectionBasedMatchMaking) a lot more. Just listen to the community plz.

Signed. Goodbye sbmm

2 Repliessbmm is fine with in a "hard core " playlist like trials. but regular old crucible needs to be cbmm. not everyone on my friends list is great at crucible and they don't have FUN playing with other people of higher skill. they get into matches that are completely sweaty. at what time are people supposed to have fun and just play a lil pvp.

1 ReplyDeath to red bar.

PLEASE

2 RepliesAm I missing something here?I see so many people want cbmm...I actually enjoy sbmm...it makes crucible not boring. I don't wanna be matched against anybody that Im going to just pummel in PvP. Isn't that what will will happen if they bring cbmm? I feel like everybody that wants cbmm just wants crucible to be easy...or am I taking it out of context?...somebody let me know..and no malice in the reply..I'm not a forum warrior..peace.

Bump!

4 RepliesThis type of post and others like it need to go to #feedback. #Destiny is not a place for this
-
Yes, we NEED CBMM ASAP.
-
4 RepliesThere's no reason to remove it. If you're getting up set over a little connection in normal crucible idk what to tell you. There will be lag even with green bars.
-
1 ReplySome players will enjoy CBMM more. Others, after being humiliated in match after match after match because they live too close to expert players, will learn the truth.
-
So does all these posts demanding change mean if bungie changes it to CBMM you won't get matched with red bars? I'd rather meet teams of red bars than teams made up of players at the top of the food chain. At least with a red bar you can always use that as an excuse for getting your ass handed to you

Bump.

5 RepliesI respect the fact that so many players want to revert to CBMM, but please... do we REALLY need so many topics on the subject?
-
2 RepliesREMOVE IT PLZ. I DONT WANT TO PLAY WITH YELLOW and RED BAR GUARDIANS PLZ BUNGIE.

4 RepliesAnti sbmm players pretend there's deeper reasoning to oppose it (like connect based being better), but in reality they just don't like losing just want to be pit against shitty players as often as possible.

4 RepliesThis is an excellent post by redditor s0mecubanguy that everyone who plays PvP should read: "Every match being played before SBMM was implemented did not contain players in the top 5% or above. Bad players weren't getting curb stomped every single game by top 5% players before December 2015. There just aren't enough GOOD players to have them populate every single match. And the only way lesser skilled players even match up against these guys now is if they play with friends of a higher skill level. If anything, the top players have gotten better because they continuously match against players of their own skill and better, and the bad players never improve because they keep playing people like themselves, with low skill level. And people might say "Well, why should the lower skilled players need to suffer against higher skilled opponents in PvP? They should all matchmake together so they don't get stomped". My answer has always been: Because the decision to keep all of the good players together, and the less skilled players apart has a huge impact on connections and latency for the top 10% players. Why should the players who invest the most time into PvP suffer because a population of people who barely play 2 hours of PvP a week don't want to put in the time to develop proper PvP skills? In the beginning of year 1 my k/d was around a 0.5. With practice and lots and lots of hours in the crucible I went up to a 1.9 k/d. Then SBMM was implemented. I'm now sitting around a 1.55 k/d That's fine. Because I know that despite what my k/d says, I'm a much better player now than I was 2 years ago."

I had no idea that this was top on the forums...I'm so happy to see the support on this post. Kind of like a YouTuber I can't respond to every single comment so I want to thank every single one of you for getting this post to the top. I hope that bungie and the staff members can see all these posts about SBMM and can hopefully change it.

8 RepliesCommunity? No. PVP elitists? Yes. All the PVP elitist need to stomp on average players to get there KD and elo higher

Leave it alone. Games are mostly evenly matched now. It sucks the fun out of playing when you are continuously pub stomped. Skill based match making is just smart.
