5 RepliesAmazing that people are convinced Sanders would only implement socialism on the scale associated with Venezuela or Cuba. I thought it was obvious he was pushing a more social democratic state where there is a larger safety net for the less well off, akin to most of Europe. But then again Americans aren't exactly the sharpest tools in the shed.

You LOVE Socialism. 57% of every tax dollar you pay goes straight to the military--which is the redistribution of wealth in the form of wages. The funny thing is that all Socialism is, is a rejection of Totalitarianism. The rich have almost complete control of the economy, and Socialism (the Scandinavian kind) is an attempt to convert the economy into a less extreme form of Capitalism by giving the majority of citizens control of the economy. We don't live in the 1920s anymore and we're not going back.

It merely gives the working and middle class the tools and the advantages needed to succeed in life. That means, having a healthy mind and body, being educated, and being able to live in a home with a warm bed. Healthcare, education and housing are rights. Plain and simple.
