The Darknesa. No clue what it is but it made the traveller, who made all of us walking gods, flee like a pussy several times.

  • What is scary to me is what actually lurks in the "Darkness"? What do the Worm Gods answer to? What gave Oryx his power to "take" enemies and make them his own? And are the Ahamkara, Worm Gods and the Leviathan related in any way? If so, they have a common ancestor and where does that ancestor come from?

  • Honestly the scariest thing to me is that the traveler is merely an agent of the light with the ability to augment species and use the light as a weapon or tool of creation, and chances are he's not the only one, and they're could be much more powerful things as well in different parts of the universe, same goes for the darkness's minions, the worm gods are also merely tools of the darkness, and could have significantly more powerful agents out there. I'm currently wondering about the traveler as he has been augmenting races to fight the minions of darkness we know once he started losing battles in the time of the rise of oryx who has been the darkness's key tool in pressing against the traveler since fundament he has been traveling and attempting to raise a species capable of defeating oryx the traveler always moved on to another race once he figured defeat was assured, he tried running from us as well but good Ole crafty rasputin fired his weapons on the traveler putting it into a coma like state, now in its slumber we've defeated oryx which means the darkness will need to send a new and more powerful minion to complete oryx's task, hopefully the traveler can now heal because without question we need it to wake up perhaps now more than ever.

  • Mystery: The Vault of Glass 3
A starfield. The stars swing slowly across the Ghost's field of view, just darkness and the blazing fury of distant suns as the Ghost tumbles through empty space. Hours of this before, with a wash of power, a huge convoy of ships drops into reality from warp. A convoy of Guardian craft, hundreds strong. Ships of all sizes and shapes can be seen, from venerable craft that have been salvaged from the Golden Age through to City designs to vessels that have yet to emerge from the Shipwright's hangars. The ships are battle-scarred. Many are barely spaceworthy. As warp drives wind down several seem to lose power and begin to drift. Some of the largest craft bear imagery familiar to frequent visitors to the tower: Dead Orbit symbols, the simple icon of the Vanguard. The New Monarchy and Future War Cult as well, though fewer examples can be seen. Others bears symbols never seen in the Tower to date. Every single ship, from the largest cruiser to the smallest personal craft, carries shards of stone, remnants of the City and the Tower. Banners too, tattered and worn from entering and leaving warp. The fleet is only visible for a few breaths, less than a minute. Then, with a massive flash of light, the fleet jumps on. The craft that have lost power are left behind, spinning and whirling away from the etheric wake of their powered fellows. The Ghost spins on, and soon enough only stars fill its field of view until the fragment ends.
The darkness Is coming... We will not survive it this time. Run. Run far and run fast and never look back. - The speaker (I made that up)

Crota, Oryx, Oryx's sisters, Nokris and the Worm Gods. These hive gods and worm gods are truly terrifying. Last but not least the Darkness itself. I wonder if the Darkness is a physical being making or influencing evil & sinister alien races its tools of destruction against the Light. We Guardians are protecting.

Well, one of the Cabal grimoire cards mentions that a ghost believes the Cabal are running from something, in direct contrast to everything else we learn about them. Everything else portrays them as one branch of a larger aggressive expansionist empire. But what if there is no empire anymore? What if whatever the Cabal were running from caught up to the main empire and destroyed them, and now impersonates the emperor while they hunt down the last of the Cabal in our solar system. That distress signal the Cabal sent out would bring this thing right to us.

Besides the possibility of the traveler leaving( someone already touched up on it ), there's still going to be a hive problem. Out there somewhere is Oryx's sisters, will they come to take his throne/ship. Not so much vengeance, they wanted his power more than anything and to stay true to their logic. I say Savathun will strike by taking the dreadnought, and something with the vex too. If you remember The Book of Sorrows she was gifted Quria, The Blade Transform, she'll most use it and other vex to -blam!- with us. We'll -blam!- her up, at least I hope we would. Xivu Arath will come next crashing in with her war moon, and you know wage war. I would like to think this would be simple too, but we can only wait and see if any of this happens.

            • The fact that the worm gods were here in Sol. We know them as Ahamkara, and apparently the Dreadnaught is just one part of another Ahamkara. The case could be made that the Ahamkara in Sol were significantly smaller then those in Fundament, but even then they would have been MASSIVE. Maybe it's just me, but the fact that something so big could exist and still have sentience is absolutely terrifying.

            • I think sneaking past the deathsingers story mission had full potential to be the scariest mission on destiny. Imagine when you drop in you hear screaming that sounds like thousands of hell hounds in close to pitch black darkness. You're returning to the site where you kill Crota. Deathsingers mourn with gouged out eyes darkness running out of them, thrall eating away at remains of dead guardians. You get up at the bridge and notice they are making a ritual with their eyes rolled back in their head screaimg their wretched song with patterns of darkness on the ground. Hive Ogres stand guard and crack and creak as their body is flaking second by second. Idk. Hive could be scary but its T.

                • The entirety of the cabal forces we have faced, from the Dust Giants to the Skyburners, from Valus Ta'aurc to the Bond Brothers, are referred to as a "Scouting Legion" If we ever do get that Cabal Expansion, we are -blam!-ed.

The Osmium rulers, and the Worm gods. The only way we defeated Oryx was because of the fact that we had the power of the light. If we were a cabal squad sent to kill him, we would die before we could even shoot a round at the king... The Sword logic literally makes it impossible for anyone not under the Travelers Influence...

                  • Savathun(sorry if I butchered the name) oryxes sister is way more terrifying than oryx since she is more attuned with the darkness and first to accept the sword logic, oryxes clap that kills you In the raid she can do it with one snap of her fingers and that power is scary.
