Whats the scariest thing in lore to you?
There's a lot if creepy things in the destiny universe and I'm curious as to who or what is the scariest to you guys? To me it's ahamkarrra as when i think dragon i think smaug from The Hobbit. Leave a comment about yours!

The fact that there are still some of the Vex alive who know how to reform the Black Garden's Heart.

1 ReplyI'm terrible with lore but there was a guardian who was apart of Eris' fireteam that was captured and tied up with bones, then tortured by having his light stripped away slowly to be fed to unborn hive babies. Something of the sort. [i]Very[/i] creepy.

Origins of hive and oryx. They had a hard life and came up from being the weakest to being one of the strongest.

The Vex and their theoretical unlimited power. We still don't know if Atheon was no more than a distraction from bigger Vex movements along a different timeline. We have such a narrow understanding on what they are really trying to do. The cabal are also scary in terms of the fact that's we've seen so very little of their true strength.

Torturing a Guardian to death for funzies is bad enough but to use his ghost to do it? Yeesh. I head canon Ghosts in Destiny as a little like Daemons in His Dark Materials; always by your side, your best friend, know you better than anyone. To have your Ghost turned into an instrument of torture, it's just horrible. It's the "screaming knife" part that gets me, the Ghost was clearly in agony too. The Hive's sadism is just off the charts.
