Buffing of The First Curse

[b][i][u]Note that this post refers to The First Curse's usage in the Crucible, and the buff is only wanted in the Crucible [/u][/i][/b] Link to the weapon: [armory]The First Curse[/armory] I have recently been using The First Curse in PvP. It takes 3-4 shots for a kill. This sounds not too bad until you consider its EXTREMELY SLOW fire rate, and to top it off, it has horrible accuracy. Dropping headshots is a pain in PvP with this weapon. If you don't agree, let's look at another hand cannon.... The Last Word. Yep, We've all seen the bad end of it in the Crucible before. So, we should all know it has a ridiculously fast fire rate. It kills quick; which is why it is used in the Crucible. Point is, Why should The Last Word (and Hawkmoon I guess) be the only Hand cannons really viable in the Crucible. I worked hard for The First Curse, so I would like to see it become something more. If you agree, please give this post a like so that a Destiny employee may see this and consider it. Any additional thoughts or solutions throw in below. Ideas are always welcome.   • First curse is a 2/3 kill shot. It deals on average 95 to 97 damage. It can kill low armor guardians. With the two kill potential kill time is .5 but most players do not play with low armor. I used it for a few weeks and rarely two shot anyone. Im Iron banner it does happen more. I got a 100 crit from time to time. But there is absolutely nothing that really makes this a worth while exotic. The perks are slightly worthless in pvp. The boost to range is meh considering the bloom and cone effect is in place. Even with the boost shots tend randomly disappear. While it is nice to get that instant reload it doesn't really aid or give value to often in pvp. There is no reason to use the First Curse over any other legendary Hand Cannon. Since the majority of the time you will need 3 shots to kill a guardian why not use a faster firing hand cannon like a Lord High Fixor with range perks. I am not sure the fix. If it becomes a two shot it will clearly be in the OP category.

Idk bungie seemed to have a good idea with this gun but it just didn't reflect. I think something that more indirectly buffs it's damage would help it out a lot. The "bonus" to movement speed while ADS would help a lot when it comes to repositioning your sights on moving targets and also avoiding damage while aiming for those sweets 95s to the head but sadly that "bonus" again in quotations, is mostly unseen or nonexistent at that.[/quote]

            • I have been saying it all along: LET US DUAL WIELD THE LAST WORD AND FIRST CURSE. Take away that secondary weapon when dual wielding them and let us go full on old west shoot out style. I want this so badly. It would be so much fun and would make both guns more than relevant

                      I haven't tried the first curse in crucible yet. I do have the byronic hero with luck in the chamber. It's a beast! The only thing I'm not fond of is the colors. That mixture of olive green and electric blue needs to go. BUFF THE COLORS LMAO! Oh yeah don't forget about phantom bullets. They need to go.

                        • The first curse is fine how it is but it just needs a fire rate buff. Right now its my favorite weapon in crucible and I don't want it turn out like what happen to thorn. The first curse can all ready be pretty over powered in crucible.

                            No I don't want my first curse to be like thorn, if it was a 2 shot precision weapon then every one will use the weapon, if it increase rate of fire with the damage it gives off now it would be over powered. It's already easy to earn, just use a different weapon if it doesn't suit you, this gun is amazing an perfect the way it is now, an to tell you the truth if you do not think so, it's time to use other weapons. This weapon is able to 2 shot people with low armor an 3 body shot peoples with low armor as well. Its a weapon where pacing your shots really matter. Having more speed/mobility doesn't really do much with the weapon, the weapon has high acquisition as it Is, an it's secret perk is unflinching, sorry bro, try out other weapons, it's perfect the way it is, an I love this weapon.

                            • The First Curse should have close to max range when The First Curse perk is active or increased precision damage when perk is active. I do pretty well with it right now , but some buffs would be nice, or have The First Curse activate when you get a precision hit.

                                  My idea for a buff: Every headshot kill reloads the magazine and all that, but it also slightly buffs the damage. The effect will stack ~5 times and go away on reload. So in the crucible, if you get five headshot kills without reloading, you will two-shot people for the remainder of the mag and then have it reset. It should not stack more than a few times and on the final stack, it will just go away like the perk does now and you have to re-earn it. This way, you will only be able to land two-shots if you are good with the gun. And it will not be op because you only have 8 bullets with the ability to two-shot before it takes the perk away.

                                  • What about upon activation of "The First Curse" Perk it made The Rate of Fire speed up/ faster to the rof of a hawkmoon or the General handcannon rof for that matter. I mean it's basically a TLALOC without the rof buff ? Just stateing my opinion. What do y'all think?

                                      • It should be a two headshots kill with its perk on, meaning you need to have a precision kill to be able to two shot kill anyone. And give it more range, right now it has less range than the ace of spades, even with the ads perk active. I believe the aim assist for this weapon is the highest on hand cannons, it can go up to 100.

                                        • I'd like to see an increase in strafe speed while ADS, but if it was a two-shot-kill everyone would use it. I enjoy it being a niche weapon that takes practice and good positioning to do well with. If you buff the damage, the forums will become rampant with nerf posts. Increased strafe speed would do wonders for the weapon, though.

I would like for them to give it unflinching as a hidden perk instead or switch for triple tap Lmao imagine headseaker on it It's a good gun in the right hands, it's not for everyone.
