Borderlands has decent gunplay and rewarding loot. But those aren't what make it great, what makes it great is the fact that it's humerous, has well developed characters, and a story that makes you feel like you're actually doing something. With hope the sequels of Destiny and the Division will give us what they are severely lacking now.
