Why do people defend thorn? 0.73s TTKill with 3 body shot
This weapon is stupidly op and should get a nerf asap, especially when you use it as a sunsinger, the burns melt people

7 RepliesAnd yet, still zero complaints about TLW, with an even lower TTK. The tick on Thorn is 3. If you run because you're burning, that's the mistake, challenge a Thorn and you'll likely win, but run from it and he'll burn you down every time.

It used to 2 shot to the face from across any map. It was freak easy to snap shot from any distance and get headshots. It was used by everyone and crotas mother. If it was this bad now than I'd see it in every game being used by someone but you don't. Mida is more prolific now. Hell doctrine is more used now than thorn and a Hell of lot less people have doctrine co.pared to people who have thorn still.

1 ReplyOp, you must be new to Destiny. Thorn isn't as rampant as in Y1. I have to admit that during CD, I did die a few times due to the poison ticks but overall I outgunned Thorn with Mida or Messenger(Adept)

4 RepliesBoy lemme tell you a story. So sit yo ass down. So all the way back in year one, I was someone who saw an ad for destiny. I looked up destiny, and the first weapon I saw was thorn. I saw this beauty. The amazing sights, spiky gun model. I researched it more, and I knew a couple things about it. 1: it shot [i]-blam!-ING [u]THORNS[/u][/i] 2: it did burn damage 3: I needed to get it. So I bought destiny, and after numerous hours of researching thorn, I figured I needed to grind bounties. So I grounded bounties, and finally, [i]finally[/i] I got the quest to drop. I freaked out. So I did the basic steps, but then I ran into a brick wall. I realized I had no void weapons. Not a single one. And I was a Hunter. So I had to come to the gunsmith every day and see if he was selling something void. Then I saw it. A void shotgun. That thing, it was beautiful. I had to camp, and camp, and camp, untill I finally got that done. Many broken controllers later, I went to the moon to defeat Xyor. I had to solo that mission. You have no idea how hard that was. Then I finally got it. My beautiful thorn. My first exotic ever. I earned that beautiful bastard.
