How do you beat the Devil Walker?
I'm having trouble beating this trash. Help?

He knows the struggle of running the Devils lair during beta.

You can also shoot it's arc grenade launcher off its turret and deal only with the occasional laser rocket.

Break his -blam!-in legs, then jump on his head and slam billets into it. Lol

Generally you needs guns to kill it, but if you are feeling ballsy, walk right on it and give it a slap as if he forgot his V8 this morning.

Shoot the living f**k out of its legs.

One tip to make fighting one easier is to shoot off its arc launcher . On the left side of the turret is a black rectangular gun that shoots arc blasts . 4-6 sniper shots generally destroys it , and the devil walker shoot way less frequently once you do destroy it .

Shoot a leg until it collapses then shoot the exposed orange neck area. When it gets back up repeat on another leg. Rinse and repeat on each of the legs until dead.

2 RepliesSleeper. Enough said. Shoot the inside of a leg and it will bounce between two legs and do insane damage. If played right should be dead in maybe 8 shots or less.

2 Repliessnipe its legs, and when one explodes and breaks away, hit the glowing crit spot at the 'neck' that opens up. don't get too close or it'll spray bullets and bouncing grenades, and watch out for the laser sight aiming at you, it's a ohko for you and anyone standing next to you. if you're having trouble with the Devils' Lair, i used to do that part of the strike with the team split up, ideally one to his left in the doorway beside the captain, one to his right in the hallway underneath the sniper, and one out in the middle underneath the big hunk of crap, i'd bounce from left to right out there sniping his legs and pulling his aggro (when he laser-focuses in, immediately bail for the other side!) while the others dealt with their adds and hit his legs too. once you get a feel for the encounter you'll have an easier time with it. as you progress and pick up more weapons and gear, the advice regarding sniping from the entrance will be better for quick runs -- Black Hammer from the Crota's End raid or Black Spindle can fire all your ammo at him in one continuous stream if you time it right, Icebreaker does great work with its rechargeable ammo, gjallarhorn still beats the shît outta just about everything, etc., but i do remember being a lowbie noob and just sitting at that point with other level 6-10 noobs whittling that stupid thing down while trying not to get killed, lol. you'll get it, good luck to you!

3 RepliesEdited by Varzin: 1/17/2016 1:12:55 PMIt has 6 legs, you want to aim for the armor plating on it's legs. When one leg breaks the whole thing will temporarily shut down. At this time a large glowing engine will be exposed, shoot it. Rinse and repeat till dead. You can't break the same leg twice. Watch out for the laser pointer. With enough damage the smaller secondary cannon mounted on the main turret can be destroyed, preventing the Walker from using that attack anymore. Have your team split up. The Walker can't attack 3 separate targets at once, this lets at least one player at a time deal damage while the other(s) play decoy.

Shoot the legs first, then when a let breaks a little core will appear in the head. Shoot it and then the walker will get back up. Repeat the steps until it's dead. :)
