IB strats for solo players.
Rush B. There's no need for everyone to cap the flag where you spawn. Fight for B early and you'll net more points in the long-run.
Don't triple cap ever! The name of the game is CONTROL. Leave the enemy a flag to spawn so you know where they are. If you push too far they'll spawn behind you and/or your teammates will get shot in the back, spawns will flip and confusion will set in.
Save your super for heavy round to either attack a heavy spawn point or defend one. Also, WAIT for your teammates. You'll win more games if more of your teammates have heavy ammo. But don't be a dumbass and wait too long to get nova bombed. Use your head.
Don't use your teammates as bait. I've seen plenty of guardians watch a gunfight and clean up an easy kill. Team shot every chance you get. Assists are just as good as kills.
Don't feed the enemy. If you ran through a choke point and got domed by a sniper. Choose a different path, slide around corners and avoid snipe lanes. Snipers hate being flanked, so flank them.
Rushing shotgunners can be annoying. Avoid close quarters whenever you can and make them chase you. Chances are a teammate will put some shots on him and you can set up a quick snipe when the turn the corner. Also, if a player is crouched in a corner with a shotty don't challenge unless you have a shotgun yourself. Let him sit there all game.
Hope this helps. I'm an ok player that plays solo 99% of the time. Let's all work together to get some good loot.

1 ReplyIB control is a completely ranged fight. Scout rifles are top choice for high kill counts. Even against snipers. In a pack they may get one or two players but two well places head shots and they are gone

Don't rush B... why? Because most of the team stays behind and if you go by yourself, you'll die. Triple capping can be effective, when you are running as a group, you simply circle the map... capping everything. It's by far the best and most fun way to play. Saving a super for heavy? Possibly if you are the solo player on the enemies heavy ammo, but don't waste it on trying to protect your heavy with your team. It's often better to save your super to prevent caps or stop another super. It's a great technique to play over the shoulder of a teammate... you alternate in and out of cover. The best counter to a shotgun is a high rof fusion. You can stay your distance and still wipe them. I found this also work against TLW users and people with heavy machine guns. If you time it right, they die first.

People tend to disregard this cardinal rule, thus bringing on all of the "Nerf snipers1!1!!!!1!" posts. It's not the guns fault, nor is it the Aim assist. It's the fact that you don't think when you play.

4 RepliesWhen it comes to heavy I wait for my teammates but the second I see a red blip on my radar I'm pulling that shit. Nothing more frustrating than waiting for your team and 4 of you standing around the box and some sniper kills you and only you :(

i actually prefer to play solo. I never seem to win in a fireteam, ever. I dont think i've won once in a fireteam of 6. But i still manage to get rank 5 on all characters on 2 platforms, with like 3 hours a day.

Everyyyy single fireteam of 5 or 6 tries to triple cap every single time...they always bum rush to a flag that has been capped by the enemy team. It's annoying.

Here's the problem with rushing b. When there is a smart 6 man team they all cap c or a faster that they can concentrate on taking or stopping b or pushing a because your team is split up now they got you in a spawn trap and got b. What needs to be done is team grab spawn point and push b together

3 RepliesGreat strats in theory. Reality is: run around like headless chickens, kill everything that moves, don't capture any zone, grab the the heavy amno before your team mates arrive and leave the game when you're 1000 points behind.

7 RepliesDon't triple cap (most of the time). Don't flip spawn point. FFS, DONT PULL THE HEAVY UNLESS THE OTHER TEAM IS RUSHING YOU. Screwing your teammates out of heavy they are running to is just a prick move. I know OP said these things, but they need repeating. And for more than just IB.
