Why in the hell did you use 50?! Wow! You deserve getting nothing.

I use them on strikes- Vanguard and Heroic- and use one per mission, with the exception of Strike Brothers and Dust Palace. I get a drop every 3-5 I use or so.

Use 1 every 20/30 mins. Today I've been running the crucible quest, I run 2 crucible matches then kill the gatelord on my hunter then my Titan and then repeat. Used 16 coins and got: 290 Jade Rabbit (3rd one) 310 Claws of Ahamkara 310 Zhalo Supercell

I've used 30 coins since they'd been available and I've gotten 7 exotics. I use 1 at a time and I've gotten drops on strikes, story missions, and the Taken ultra at the Divide.

wow that sucks.. I use 1 per boss and get 1 exotic every 7 or so.. Don't stack them bro

Well that was a huge waste. They don't stack like that. You use one to activate the drop buff and it stays active until you kill an ultra. That ultra has a chance to drop an exotic. If you don't get anything, you use another and it will have a slightly higher chance. This is how they stack until you get something. Using 50 at a time is a waste of 49 coins. Also, due to abuse of them in rapidly killing bosses, they added an invisible cool down timer between kills in which they are less effective when killing them. Likely only 5 to 10 minutes so avoid any rapid farming methods that were used the first week. My advice would be to do strikes popping one before the start of each one. Over the last week from 60 or so of them I have gotten, Telesto Monte Carlo Hereafter Helm of inmost light, Graviton forfeit And several duplicates of things I got last week like zhalo, invective, alpha lupi, etc. They seem to give one between every 5 and 10 coins but that is also random so people's returns will vary
