None of these weapons are getting a year two version at launch, how do people feel about that in addition to the fact there will not be a year two ghorn or icebreaker
EDIT: for those that haven't picked up on what I am saying, if you view the one minute TTK teaser that was released the day before the reveal, you will notice at 34s you see a different exotic collection which has year one versions of these primaries but there is not a corresponding year 2 version. So regardless of what people think about the vague promise of more year two exotics to come. This would suggest at launch at least, there will not be a year two version of these guns. This is of course not saying there isn't a way to infuse or ascend year one exotics to higher attack/light levels, but DeeJ very carefully didn't showing the perks screen of the year one exotic weapons
EDIT 2: is it possible that when they stipulated in the video infusion would only apply to year two gear, they were referring to legendaries given they were at the crucible vendor and they have completely skipped over mentioning the same process would apply to year one exotics?
EDIT 3: so I have watched the stream again for about the fourth time and it does seem to be fairly concrete that year one exotics will not benefit from infusion, just around the time they are at the gunsmith they talk about infusion and specifically state that only year 2 legendary and exotic weapons and armour will benefit from infusion. But I would just add that at no point in the video do they show the perks screen for any exotic weapon, so there a very very slim possibility there may be something there
EDIT 4: weekly update confirms Gjallarhorn will remain as a year one exotic at year one levels and only certain exotics will be getting year 2 treatment
EDIT 5: PlanetDestiny have a video up which suggests all year 1 Exotics will make the trip into Year 2 (however there is even a comment on the video itself which suggests some might be held off until year 3), video is here https://youtu.be/ZIbSPTjpfzU but they are quick to point out the Gjallarhorn is not in the near complete build they have played. We also have to take much of this with a pinch of salt based on the fact that planetdestiny is reporting on two different sources, Edge magazin and the pfficial playstation magazine.

1 ReplyEdited by Console Shooter: 8/20/2015 8:01:06 AMOnly weapons that you have "discovered" will show up top in year 2. It showed tlw, red death, and suros all of which had been discovered.

6 RepliesTest accounts. Whatever they don't own won't show up. They just threw some exotics in there to show.
-
this is just test stuff, it's not 100% finish wait until it drops then we can see but until then who knows

3 RepliesPretty sure on the video Ghally was In year one slot but not in year 2

Watch planet destiny's video on how to make the gun more powerful.

12 RepliesDeej doesn't own year 1 thorn so it wouldn't appear in the blueprints, same with the others you mentioned. But, why would they get rid of thorn for year 2 when it's such a coveted weapon? It has like 2 or 3 grimoire cards alone I just can't see them dropping it if TLW stayed...

2 RepliesIt's hilarious considering both Hardlight and Necrochasm are getting buffs, yet for some mystical reason Bungie has decided not to allow us to upgrade them. Bungie and their infinite wisdom never fail to surprise me.
-
2 RepliesEdited by Dead General X: 8/20/2015 7:29:59 AMIf you watched the video they said later upgrades for current exotics would be available down the road. So not every current exotic is upgraded with new perks yet. Edit: And let's just hope Bungie decides Thorn should be left behind and in the dust where it belongs.

They had better be able to get to maximum damage somehow. That is all I will say.

Whatever it is, is what if is.

6 Repliescan someone explain what will happen to our exotics? I missed the stream as I was out. Do we just upgrade them like we did in the dark below or will it be like house of wolves? Thanks

Edited by Erijian: 8/20/2015 7:31:12 AMIf anything the Vex Mythoclast, Necrocasm, Lord of Wolves, Queen Breaker's Bow, and Dreg's Promise should be priorities in regards to having Year 2 versions. Who cares about the SUROS or The Last Word; they're just RNG/Xur items while the other mentioned Exotics could only be obtained from endgame activities. Letting those Exotics have Year 2 versions would give new players a reason to run VoG, CE, and PoE since it looks like the activities are getting left behind.

3 RepliesThey said the vex wouldn't be upgraded past 300 saying the vex was "frozen in time as a vault exclusive" but it still got upgraded twice to 331 then 365. Bungie also said "don't dismantle your legendary stuff just yet ?
-
4 RepliesIf you look closely, from the Year 1 primaries DeeJ only has Suros,Red Death and TLW. And only the weapons he owns are shown in Year 2 as blueprints (again those 3), others are locked. Meaning there might as well be a Year 2 necro or Hard light, but we couldn´t have seen it because DeeJ doesn´t own it in Year 1.

2 RepliesRelax, once TTK comes out and we can trade you can just buy a necro from a guardian that doesn't have TTK and is still in TDB and HoW.
getgoodscrub
