None of these weapons are getting a year two version at launch, how do people feel about that in addition to the fact there will not be a year two ghorn or icebreaker
EDIT: for those that haven't picked up on what I am saying, if you view the one minute TTK teaser that was released the day before the reveal, you will notice at 34s you see a different exotic collection which has year one versions of these primaries but there is not a corresponding year 2 version. So regardless of what people think about the vague promise of more year two exotics to come. This would suggest at launch at least, there will not be a year two version of these guns. This is of course not saying there isn't a way to infuse or ascend year one exotics to higher attack/light levels, but DeeJ very carefully didn't showing the perks screen of the year one exotic weapons
EDIT 2: is it possible that when they stipulated in the video infusion would only apply to year two gear, they were referring to legendaries given they were at the crucible vendor and they have completely skipped over mentioning the same process would apply to year one exotics?
EDIT 3: so I have watched the stream again for about the fourth time and it does seem to be fairly concrete that year one exotics will not benefit from infusion, just around the time they are at the gunsmith they talk about infusion and specifically state that only year 2 legendary and exotic weapons and armour will benefit from infusion. But I would just add that at no point in the video do they show the perks screen for any exotic weapon, so there a very very slim possibility there may be something there
EDIT 4: weekly update confirms Gjallarhorn will remain as a year one exotic at year one levels and only certain exotics will be getting year 2 treatment
EDIT 5: PlanetDestiny have a video up which suggests all year 1 Exotics will make the trip into Year 2 (however there is even a comment on the video itself which suggests some might be held off until year 3), video is here https://youtu.be/ZIbSPTjpfzU but they are quick to point out the Gjallarhorn is not in the near complete build they have played. We also have to take much of this with a pinch of salt based on the fact that planetdestiny is reporting on two different sources, Edge magazin and the pfficial playstation magazine.

4 RepliesThere will be year two versions, just not at launch.
-
5 RepliesF the thorn I could careless if it has a y2 version that means y2 iron bananas won't be filled with them
-
2 RepliesGood news is you'll have an exotic blueprint should they bring it in later. No need for all the drama queens to get so angry about giving some year one exotics a break.
-
1 ReplyI feel Hard Light should go on to year two, because the liquid ammo counter weapons(like the scout rifle in the shield brothers twitch) is made by Omolon(correct my spelling), and its logo is the same as the symbol for Hard Light's exotic perk, implying that Omolon is the created of Hard Light.
-
9 RepliesNew edge article says that only a few years one exotics at first with the others to follow
-
13 RepliesLol this is absolutely inaccurate. It showed in the year one category that there was the Last word in that section and as well in the year 2 section. There is no 100% confirmation the Nechrochasm will not be available year 2.
-
5 RepliesI cannot believe they're leaving the Raid Exotics(Vex/Necro) as well as the elder cipher exotics behind. I mean any other exotic I could handle but those 5???????? Most of us grinder for dayssssss to get them!!!!
-
The negrochasm sounds the coolest tho...
-
3 RepliesI hope LoW comes along. It's my fav exotic. And yes, I do have Ghorn.
-
1 ReplyThere's always future dlc to introduce year two versions at some point, but I also find it odd they would buff/nerf items just before they become outdated.
-
11 RepliesWhy buff Necro and hard light if it's not gonna be year 2
-
1 ReplyThank god they'll leave the thorn behind
-
Hardlight always kinda sucked but this is Bungie's chance to make it better, why wouldn't they?
-
I think necro vex and gally should be upgraded they were the most wanted weapons of year 1
-
Necro has to be included, can't have it suck for so long and then as soon as you buff it make it obsolete. It's one of the longest exotics to get and requires you to complete what is supposed to be the hardest content in the game. Same goes to the other exotics left behind and the black hammer. Why buff/nerf if they can't be bought into year two?
-
Edited by Ghost593835: 8/26/2015 1:15:02 PMI'm OK with it, I don't have necro or hardlight I have thorn.
-
5 RepliesThe necrochasm and hardlight with both being going to year two. They are both getting their own individual buffs aside from the ar buff. What would be the point of those if they werent going to year 2 status.
-
Honestly I really think it's stupid that they're leaving raid exotics behind, especially Necrochasm considering it might only be good for a few days before it becomes irrelevant .don't really mind bounty exotics and pure RNG exotics as much.
-
1 ReplyCouldn't give a rat's arse as long as Red Death comes
-
2 RepliesWhy isn't Necrochasm getting put into year 2 when its been neglected all of year 1 and is now getting a buff because of that and it's not going into year 2 anyway?
-
4 RepliesYou do know they have only confirmed definite yes's and that no Ghallahorn. No other info on what has or hasn't made the cut.
-
5 RepliesI don't care for ghorn or icebreaker. I never needed them anyway. But vex and necrochasm i will miss. They both required a lot of effort and it feels bad that all that effort was in vain. but if i have to choose one exotic that i will sincerely miss, it's my hawkmoon. Awesome times popping heads with that gun.
-
I want a year 2 version of Hard light. Another vex would be cool but gally has to stay behind. I'm super psyched for the new last word though
-
I can't say I completely agree or disagree.. But all I'm worried about is my NLB being carried over and will the patch make it easier to use? I really hope it doesn't make it easier to use, because it is a unique gun that is a bit difficult to Master..
-
They nerf ghorn after Xur sells it and will not let it move forward to year 2. Good troll bungie!
-
I find t hilarious that they are addressing the auto rifle nerf in 2.0 and then not upgrading the nechrocasm , which has been screwed up since its inception!
