I've been playing combined arms lately, and have been killed by thorn no more than a handful of times. You should try it if you're tired of being killed/killing with thorn

2 RepliesNo I would like Bungie to actually test weapons before releasing them. Otherwise they would have known Thorn, GH and all the others behaved as they do and, well changed them before putting them in the game. Make sense? I know it's a bit out there that opinion but hey.

I'm loving the new buff Thorn is getting! Stacking DoT that will add up to 1.66 times the damage it currently does in PvE? Sign me up! Shame about all those PvP blowhards...

3 RepliesLol cannot wait!!!! No more scrubs relying on their precious Thorns. Much more variety coming. Crucible and ToO will finally be fun. And everyone saying pulse rifles will be the next meta, bring it on. Been using my Red Death exclusively for the past 3 weeks and I love it. Messenger before that. So stoked on the Thorn nerf. I hope nobody uses that piece of shit after the nerf.

Edited by shrimpyfool: 7/17/2015 10:15:23 PMTo the few people who do not think over the thorn, and believe it's fair because its in the game and you have to do a bounty to get it, here's why it's OP in its current, pre 2.0.0 state; First it has a very high target acquisition value, this means that when aiming down sight it moves more towards the head, hence its easier to get headshots than with other hand cannons. It has tick damage, this prevents regeneration, which means that it can remove you from a firefight for up to 20+ seconds depending on recovery stat, and allows the "skilled" user I.e. anyone with the gun to fire 3 shots and run away. Finally it has as much range as a lot of the scout rifles in PvP, this combined with the other two factors makes it have not one kill condition but many, it wins at long short and medium range, it debuffs people it hits and it is easy to use. Simply, there must be a reason that most of the 12 man lobbies you go into in crucible normally have a minimum of 4 people using the thorn. This alone is a sign it needs nerfing. Although this is just my opinion, as someone who has the thorn but no longer uses it due to feeling it trivialises the game, perhaps I am wrong, but who cares its getting nerfed!! :D

I appreciate it. Alot took two day to complete the bounty. Down the drain.
