Why do people donate to streamers?
Find it really odd, give to a charity instead!
People moan about game prices/dlc and yep they're fine with donating money to someone who will forgot you in an Instant.
Streamers are expecting donations now because of this.
You think they'll remember who you are when you donate?
They're sponging off people to earn a living.
If anyone has actually donated before please share as to why and how much!

Why do people pay for cable, or to go see a movie? It's just another form of entertainment and if someone is entertained enough they will pay to see more of it.

I don't donate but I am subscribed to my favorite streamer because I watch her stream like 2 hours everyday so I want to support her for all the entertainment

20 RepliesYou can laugh at "it's their job" all you want, it's the truth. For the majority of thsse streamers, it is how they make a living. I high, highly doubt that these people who stream for like 5-8 hours a day can somehow manage to keep another job. I will never stop being surprised at how salty people get over what others do with [b]their own money. [/b] I support whoever and whatever I want to support, whether that be the guy on the corner playing a mean harmonica, my favourite game developers, my city's animal shelter, or my favourite streamers. The two guys I watch the most are triple and goth, and I have never heard them ask for donations even once.

There money, there choices. I can't really say I know how they feel or think as I don't donate nor watch streamers the most I do is watch some youtube channels. Maybe they feel like investing on something they find entertaining.

The only reason most of these people got into streaming/YouTube is because of the money, they expect you to pay them at this point. They wouldn't continue to stream or make videos if you didn't pay them, oops I mean "donate" What's going to be funny is when this whole streaming trend dies down there's going to be all these bums in their mid 20's going out to get their first real job with nothing to put on their résumé lol
