Venus
Mars
Earth
That's literally it.
The Moon isn't a planet.
The Reef isn't a planet.
The Tower isn't a planet.
What kind of self-respecting space exploration game doesn't let you explore even half our own solar system? It's incredibly confined despite the gravitas the story is supposed to project.
Oh and also:
What is up with not putting the planets in the right place? Last time I checked Venus Earth and Mars weren't arranged in a triangle.

Actually, it is possible for the planets to be aligned in a triangle... But not that triangle. The planets are arranged differently.

Daily reminder that no one gives a shit.

Sounds like TTK will be coming with new patrol locations ....... Possibly a giant hive tomb ship of Oryx .....
not a planet
And maybe a patrol location on Phobos .....
also not a planet, just a small moon that orbits mars. Trailer made location look like a combo between Mars and moon.....my two least favorite locations
Soooooooooo No new planets. .......

Imagine if no man sky exploration was mixed with destiny action , wouldn't it be awesome?

Pointless thread

2 RepliesThe moon is a reasonably sized astral body with enough space for surface exploration. Phobos is coming in TTK.

Destiny is a space exploration game? Then what's no man's sky?

1 ReplyThanks for the reminder. I look forward to tomorrow's reminder.

6 RepliesWait, Venus, Earth, and Mars are in a triangle!? ...oh no... that must mean.... ILLUMINATI CONFIRMED!!!
-
5 RepliesForgot mercury
-
I can go to mercury in the lighthouse

OP, your analysis of what constitutes a satisfactory size and scope in a game world is so spot on and thorough. Bungie should be ashamed. Look at Gradius for the NES. 7 levels, 7 planets. So vast in scope, so much more to explore than Destiny.
-
4 Repliesvult of glas crota deminson thats +2 op edit op now
-
Daily reminder that OP still doesn't understand what a triangle is.

Jesus Christ, who bought Bill Nye the Science Guy an Xbox?
-
4 RepliesFurther destinations will be made available in future content. Since you're being technical, the lighthouse is on Mercury, so add that to the planet list ;). Finally, if our destinations are other planets, or moons, or other places on a planet we already have explored, does that really matter?
-
3 RepliesActually the moon is a planet. Earth is a moon too. And half our solar system is gas giants, rocks, and a tiny comet.
-
Destiny focuses on locations not planets. The arrangement of the locations isn't intended to be accurate to the solar system, it is like the London Underground map which is designed for easy of access and not geographical accuracy.
