Kotaku is dropping Destiny for Evolve
I don't even usually like Kotaku but their reviews of Destiny and Evolve have both been spot on:

3 RepliesEvolve plays out the same every time. Guy playing Monster always picks Wraith. Hunters spend 10 mins running around the map, unable to keep up with the Monster. Monster goes stage 3 & wrecks Hunters. It's only fun when you have a group of 5 and you're all in the same party chat, great banter & laughs. It doesn't hold up to extended play though.

5 RepliesI took evolve back. Just didn't enjoy it. Too frantic and found myself running around the stupid map in circles chasing spooked birds and ridiculous trails. Really got old quickly

1 ReplySo i'll admit I haven't played evolve much ( except for the very few matches I could find in the beta ) but it seems really repetetive. At least in destiny your character is your own and you can grow with them. The classes in evolve are just like, there. They don't mean anything to you.

Evolve...the game with massive media hype but received little actual hype from gamers. Sure I'd love to play sometime but have no intentions of buying it. Ever.

Your just going to receive hate from enraged fan boys talking about how they played evolve and said it's the worst game they have ever played when in reality 90 percent of them haven't played any other game besides destiny in their life. SMH. Go play a real game like skyrim where you can customize how ever the -blam!- you want. Destiny and evolve are both pathetic, let's just face the facts.

Especially since recently where they have called gamers everything in the book from women haters to terroists. Most other big name game review sites have done the same thing and you shouldn't trust any of them for reviews. And tbh, that review makes no sense at all as it also applies to Destiny. Both games are repetitive and both games have things that make it play out differently each time.

This just in - PvP is a little less repetitive than PvE. More news at 11.... Dumb shit review really. Evolve got boring after one weekend and has existential balance issues. Destiny has the most varied PvE content (Nighfall is a triumph of gaming IMO) I've seen in a while and still has crucible content - just needs to add something like BFs Rush gameplay and I'm be hooked for years.

In destiny the characters have unique grenades, supers, melee abilities and even movement abilities, and you have a large variety of guns to choose from. In Evolve every character moves and feels the same, have no melee at all, no supers, no grenades, and only 2-3 weapons that each character is stuck with, so they get boring very quickly, and generic group abilities that aren't very exciting. Hmmmmmm
