RIP Destiny 9/9/14 - 2/5/15.
Between constant weeks of disappointment from Xur and the recent Bungie weekly update, why should I keep playing? Especially that House of Wolves is not coming out until around June now. Playing only on Tuesdays is really the only way I can justify my time spent, unless a friend needs help. I have 3 level 32 characters (1 of each class) with all 331 raid weapons. There's really nothing more to do.
[b]In regards to Xur:[/b]
I'm not looking for exotics, I already have almost 3 of every exotic and 2 Gjallarhorns. As well as most of the helms and gauntlets for each class (the boots are garbage). Heavy ammo synthesis would be very nice though, given how much has been used since hard mode. Yes, I know I can farm glimmer on extraction zone. I have a full-time job and have farmed so much it just isn't worth my time anymore.
I'm basically saying it would have been a nice gesture on Bungie's behalf to offer the synthesis given they've acknowledged the losing heavy ammo bug.
Instead we get a big middle finger from Xur and Bungie.
Please don't even bother saying Xur is RNG.
[b]In regards to the Bungie weekly update:[/b]
How about they just test out the following first...
- Buff Pulse Rifles and NOT nerf every other gun.
- Give mobs more health if TTK is [b][i][u]SO[/u][/i][/b] important.
- Fix certain guns broken perks prior to nerfing them. Specifically the Word of Crota and Black Hammer.

Bungie has continuously proved that they are in way over their heads with this game. Multiple mass nerfs, bugs galore, paltry content, constant game crashing errors, etc.
What a joke this game has become. It has been in an uncontrollable downward spiral since The Dark Below was released.

16 RepliesIt's not a nerf! For -blam!- sakes people it's making weapons more ideal and realistic with damage from range. Why the -blam!- can I kill someone half way across the map with a hand cannon!? You shouldn't be able to do that. If you can't be a little more offensive in attacking enemies in PvP or PvE then you should just give up on gaming as a whole. It's a video game for Christ sake. Once the weapon balance is updated most won't realize the difference.

I agree. I have three 32s and love this game. But it is getting worse every week and the lack of content has caught up to them. Im done till house of wolves. I would play if there was stuff to actually do but alas there isnt. I dont want to quit but what can i do at thia point. I love all you guardians so ilk so you at HoW

4 RepliesThey want you to keep grinding, the more you keep grinding, the boring it will get and then people will quit. IDK why they don't see this. I agree heavy ammo would be nice, since i don't need to spend strange coins on anything else, i have all the exotics i need. If anything im trying to find certain legendary weapons for my characters.

3 RepliesBungie wont' tailor this game to my personal needs. I'm going to hold my breath until I DIE!!! Really??!!???!!? These things take time to get right. 1. They've been trying to get the weapon balancing right since the beta. 2. Like it or not, the same number of people are regular Crucible players as are regular raiders. Only the raiders seem to think EVERYTHING in this game should be tailored to their needs. At least the PvP keept their expecations more modest. 3. Pulse Rifles are part of a SYSTEM. You can't just change one part without making EVERYTHING worse and making a BIGGER problem. A major part of the problem with Pulse Rifles is that you have AUTO RIFLES sitting in the niche that PRs are supposed to occupy. A burst-fire rifle is a COMPROMISE weapon between a semi-auto weapon firing full rifle rounds...(like the M1 rifle of WWII) and a full auto assualt rifle. With the burst fire weapon generating a larger volume of fire (and having a greater suppressive effect) than the semi-auto rifle...and being more accurate and having less recoil than the fully auto weapon. But in world where you have auto firing rifles with almost no recoil..and can shoot (with accuracy) almost as far as sniper rifle.... ...a burst fire weapon just becomes a slow firing auto-rifle or a damaged-impaired standard rifle....no mater what you do to it. So a major part of this problem----as I said from the first week of the BETA----was nerfing auto-rifles range and accuracy so that you could clear out the space that PRs should rightfully occupy. Bungie has been hesitant to do this..but now----finally---seems to be willing to do what is necessary to rescue PRs from the dumpster. 4. Everytime Bungie tries to rush out fixes (usually to raid cheeses) they wind up breaking something else in the game.

1 ReplyTotally agree on the fixing current perks/weapons before nerfing a bunch of stuff. Everytime they nerf/fix something, it just breaks more stuff that never gets fixed. As far as xur goes, im in dire need of heavy too, but its not worth crying over. Tldr: fix stuff first before you break it more.....

2 RepliesYou'll never get everyone to say they agree with you on this, even if they secretly do.... But the general chat I hear in random groups, people feel the same way. Most will keep playing hoping for future shit. I just play my other games and on Tuesday reset do all the exotic drop points.

Normally I answer these posts with a "cool story bro, good riddance" BUT I think you made some good points. I agree with everything, and would add that it's annoying that Xur sometimes sells the same type of armor (in this case, gauntlets for my hunter) AND ALSO A GAUNTLET ENGRAM in consecutive weeks. I finally had raid gauntlets and a chest piece drop for me and already have exotic chest and gauntlets, so I would have been thrilled to have a chance to buy either boots or a helmet this week from Xur, even if it was just a luck-of-the-draw engram. Mind you, I'm not saying the game sucks or threatening to quit, but I wish they put a little more thought into Xur (assuming he isn't purely RNG) or occasionally stepped in when they realized he was selling the same things in consecutive weeks. Just my $0.02.

2 RepliesThe game made its money back the day it was released and Destiny 2 has already began production. Just because the game made changes you didn't like or gave you the weapons you wanted doesn't mean its dead.

you know what I find funny , people bad mouth the game and what not. but reading these comments there's a few people who defend it. under those comments of people defending destiny people bad mouth them. is it that horrible to like a game others don't like?
