As a Marine I will tell you that if you are going to decide to join based on a forum poll or your girlfriend's permission then the Corp. doesn't need you.

When you get to boot camp make sure to have a picture of her to post on the Hog Board. I wonder if they still do that? And if she gives you any problems put her address on the picture.
