My girlfriend won't let me join....
So my girlfriend won't let me join the Marines, saying "she doesn't want the military as any part of her life"
It's been my life long dream to join the Marines.
What should I do?

I spent 4 years in the Marine Corps and it was one of the most challenging/rewarding experiences of my life. I'd say do whatever would leave you with no regrets

Leave her before you join you don't need that stress when your trying to accomplish your dream. Good luck with whatever you decide to choose

If you want to do it, do it. Don't let a girl hold you back from doing what you want. I left a girl behind when I joined the Marines, and honestly, she doesn't even cross my mind anymore. I'm assuming you're 18. You've got your whole damn life to meet women. If she doesn't respect your life goals she doesn't deserve you. Good luck little future devil pup. (I can't call you a disgusting recruit yet)

If she doesnt support your dream in the first place shes not worth sticking around for and it makes not sense that she wont support you fighting for her freedom. If it's been a dream, I would definitely say go for it. I to have a dream of joining the Air Force, I always have. If she was caring enough she would understand.

Poor people fighting other poor people simply because the rich and powerful don't get along with each other and/or want to stay rich and powerful. It's stupid if you ask me.

Unless you've been dating this girl forever and plan on marrying her talk to her, but if not then why let her tell you how to live your life? And if she truly loves you she'll support the decision and stand by you no matter what, but that's just one mans opinion

Lots of ladies don't want the military life. You should do what's best for you and your family, and let her do the same.
