I was someone who really appreciated and was addicted to COD for some years, than Destiny came into my life. Because of Destiny I simply can't play a COD and enjoy it like I use to.
I saw Battle Field 4 on my Uncles PS4 and sure enough I came to appreciate this game and I could definetly find myself immeresed into this game and finding myself getting rather addicted. I'm not horrible at BF4 but I'm not all that good either, It's really realistic and I simply need to adjust and I'll be fine.
~ Does anyone have any tips for me on
Edit: Thanks for everyone for sharing your insight, knowledge, and tips on BF4! I really appeciate it. Any more tips are greatly appreciated!

1 ReplyEdited by Mr Coco: 1/2/2015 3:13:59 AMFind the right guns, I recommend: Assault: Ace 23 or M416 Engineer: MPX or CZ 3a1 Support: M60, AWS, or MG4 Recon: SRR 61 If you're playing on PC, I recommend mapping the prone button to Left Alt, so you can prone really quickly with your thumb. Practice tap-firing with guns. Unlike CoD, you've really gotta learn to control your weapons, and judge how fast you need to pull the trigger based on how far away targets are. Be sure to not feed into meat grinders on maps like Op Locker and Metro. Try to reveal as little of your body as you can in crowded choke points. (Look up a term called pie-ing)

4 RepliesBattlefield 4 shits on Every single COD game. Way more realistic, I play hardcore multiplayer (no map) and have to say its probably the best all around fps out right now. You will enjoy it, and yes only reason to play shit campaign is for all dog tags

Squad up and be a team player. Had more fun on BF games with friends than any other. That's being silly and playing serious.
-
2 RepliesYou should try to play with friends in your squad and play TDM and Domination when you need to level up your weapons.

3 Replies• Don't play the campaign, it won't save. • If you find good camping spots, you win. No joke.

6 RepliesI was a huge cod player , even made it to 108th in the word on free for all (believe it or not) but even I saw the error of my ways a gave battlefield a try and I loved it far superior to cod.... Even though I am not in the same league as I was at cod i would still say I am an above average player at battlefield .. My top three tip are 1: always fire in bursts ; squeeze and release the trigger in quick succession to keep the gun stable never hold your finger down( unless it is extremely close quarters) 2: be patient,it isn't cod don't just run around clueless to your surroundings ; take your time to scan the area as you move and remember that there may be 63 other players in the map 3: my final and what I would consider the most important thing is ; is to use everything you can to your advantage ... Use rooftops to get the jump on your enemy , set mines at flags , if there is a man down revive him ... Use the cover of buildings shoot from windows not out in the open making yourself an easy target .. And play the objective ... It's not about kills it's about your score do whatever you can to increase it

BF4 has a very steep learning curve. Level 25 or so will just about get you to the point of feeling confident on the Battlefield unless you have experience with the BF series or you are a FPS god.
-
1 ReplyIt really depends on what mode you want to play and what you want to specialize in. Running in the open will get you killed. Get to know the maps first and realize that if you are not behind cover then you will be shot. Unlike COD, you often will never see who is shooting you unless you play on small CQB maps. Play conservative and try to buddy up with someone that knows what he is doing. Following an Engineer with Medkit or ammo is a good way to start.

Spot targets and ptfo.

Apply this to BF4.
-
Medic bag and defibrillators is all you need for assault. Spot targets as well using R2 to get points.

3 RepliesGo engineer, get a shotgun, make sure to unlock M2 mines, M2 a quad bike, become a living missile.
-
3 RepliesPlay on the big conquest maps. Lots of stuff to do to rank up besides killing/dying. Also 64 people gives you lots of targets.
-
1 Replystay in cover and don't run across large open areas or you will get sniped. change up routes taken to get to objectives so you aren't predictable..

4 RepliesDMR's are love, DMR's are life.

3 RepliesM416 with a silencer and reflex sight wrecks almost anyone up close and at medium range. Also fire in small, quick bursts; helps deal with the recoil.

It's really different for every person. For me it just took time to figure everything out. It was also a lot easier to pick up because I hadn't played any other FPS games on console.
