How is 3 of 1 class cheating?
I keep seeing people who say that 3 of the same class is cheating and I can't wrap my head around their logic. How is that cheating? They have to get drops still and upgrade their armor like everyone else. Is it cheating for me to give my hunter items that dropped on my titan? I just don't understand their logic about why it's cheating.
Edit: most responses I've ever gotten. Glad to see most think like me and that it's fine. No adequate explanation for the cheating reason. No idea how people come up with that.

It isn't. People will complain about anything that they consider to give an edge that they are not willing to do themselves. Play with 3 of 1 class, play with 1 of all 3 classes. Just play the game.

It's not, people are just sore because you get stuff faster than them. It's like saying I am cheating because I share my weapons between my characters. Honestly in this case play how you like, it doesn't affect my character or how I play. I can also add that I know people who have three of the same but are played by three different people.

It's not cheating, for some reason people actually like the limitations and restrictions to progression Bungie have in place and doing anything to get around that will be considered "cheating" in the eyes of most forum goers. If you want to have 3 characters of the same class, feel free, you aren't doing anything wrong at all, unless the opinions of elitists matter to you.

2 RepliesI've got 1 of each right now, but only until I finish this STUPID Hunter. I'll then have 2 Titans, but might even delete my Warlock. Depends on how much I really wanna replay the horrible story missions and bounties to level. Totally agree, though. Not cheating. Especially when you're like me and love Titans more than the rest by an enormous margin.

4 RepliesIt's not cheating but in actuality it hurts you more then it helps you. Since the new raid knows when you got gear and what gear you got last you could just get all gauntlets from a week of raiding. Or all boots. See my point. With 3 separate you'll have a chance each week for new gear

It can't be cheating of the game allows it. If they saw a problem with it they would have patched that shit real quick. Bungie even did an article of when the first guy hit 30, they even said he had 3 of the same classes. Some people just need to relax.

I really don't care not everyone has the time to be leveling up 3 different characters all the way up, if you have 3 of the same type for me is ok you have invested enough time to be where you are and deserve your armor and weapons as a person that have 3 different characters

I dont think its cheating. I play with one of each and i enjoy it. Do what makes you enjoy the game the most with any combination. The 'its cheating' responses probably come from hormonal teenagers with lack of fully developed common sense (if such thing exists) Hoz

i have a warlockand 2 hunters, created the second hunter because RNGesus hates my hunter...and me....i can raid/nightfall/weekly all i want and still dont have Myth/galja/fate/hard/. I mean i didnt get my VoG helm till after crota dropped, was stuck using exotic, and it wasnt for lack of playing. Point is my warlock gets all the loot which really grinds my gears because i prefer to use my hunter.

I have all 3 classes which really changes how you play. All alts are 31 with each missing only one piece of raid gear. My plan is once I have all alts with gear to get to 32, I am going to place a 3 marbles under 3 cups, turn around, have my gf mix them around and see which alt will get my precious shards. Part 2) I'm hoping my Warlock, but just like the exotic engram roll, I will go with whatever I am given.

I never had 3, but I did have 2 of a couple chars to get them to 30 faster. It did teach me strength and weaknesses. It made me appreciate the Titan as it was the final character I needed to get to 30. Now I'm more likely to play on my "secondary" chars.

I would personally just rather have the option to play on 2 different characters is all. People that have 3 of the same are boring lol. Not really cheating, just kinda lame. Definitely not cheating though.

If I didn't have enough time, I would certainly have 3 of the same class to level up faster.

It's not cheating, it's simply a more efficient way of getting gear for a specific class. I personally don't do it because you're missing out on other classes and a chance to mix things up.

It's not cheating at all. If you choose to use three of the same class in your three slot allotment, that's all you. Enjoy. I did three different so I could see the difference of all three in the different scenarios.

1 ReplyNot cheating, just cheap imo. Do what you like but I don't have respect for people who reach max level with three characters, matter of fact even two. You have 3 chances to get raid armor for one character each week as well as extra shards for duplicates. I would only respect them for reaching max level on ALL of their three characters.
