Husk of the Pit drop related to CE completion?
Just curious if anyone received the husk as a drop before beating Crota? If not, it could explain the horrible drop rate difference.

Got it doing one of the Urn missions in Skyfall waiting for the public event. Must of been just a lucky day.

You only need to kill crota on hard to get the item you need to evo the husk's legendary form into exotic

Never beat crota got TWO husk of pit drops however just defeated crota today

You get it from Blade of Crota. I got it by accident. Before Crota. No Wax Idol. Nothing special.

Lol I got it first time I played through expansion missions. Looked useless so I considered dismantling. Good thing I read up on it and kept it.

3 RepliesHUSK OF THE PIT -Most effective way- Don't put on youtube 1) Go to EARTH/PATROL/ROCKET YARD 2) Proceed to the room where he often spawns 3) Sit out in front of the open door and watch 4) When you see 3 acrolytes throw 2 solar greenades 5) Then immediately spawn sparrow and follow next step 6) Run your Time breaker with full speed at Crotas Sword 7) It will explode on his face. hotp drops! works everytime. I have 3 Husk of the pit on my level 31 warlock. DON'T PUT IT ON YOUTUBE

I've only entered the raid to get the first chest. Got the husk last night after farming fist of Crota.

A friend if mine hasn't beaten crota yet but he got it before I did.

i had already beat raid legit 4 times, no cheese, then doing eris bounties on mission in the grottos and refinery. got 2 just from doing the bounties, never grinded, been lucky i guess

Got it patrolling earth. Haven't beaten crota. Pure luck.

1 ReplyDude I got my first run helping a buddy that just got the dlc and was doing it on hard mode and it dropped I was soo excited

Edited by OdinsDaDdy: 12/22/2014 6:44:01 PMNah, buddy of mine got it right after the patch and has never beat Crota yet. He wasn't even looking for it and it dropped for him while doing a bounty. He didn't even know what it was at first. I got mine (actually 2 now) after I beat Crota but it only took about 15 sword kills to get. Last night it dropped again while out on patrol.
