Firstly, thanks Bungie for letting Activison announce this and not yourselves.. great respect for the community there!
I love this game. and slowly through patching I'm starting to see the full potential of this game come to life..
Now down to the gritty stuff.
I don't understand why as an Xbox One player I am going to have to wait until fall 2015 for the 2 strikes that are ps exclusive. 1. Dust Palace. and 2. The undying Mind (Dark below content) this will mean that you are denying Xbox gamers just over a quarter of all the Strike content for Destiny! its not fair. (by the way Xbox gamers make up the majority of your community today and actually have made up almost the entirety of your community since 2002!!!)
As an Xbox gamer I am going to have to pay the same amount as a PlayStation gamer for each expansion but get less content??
is this really fair? I would understand if there was exclusive content on either system but there just isn't I am out of pocket!
I understand that there are contracts in place etc with Sony but surely this can be rectified if enough people agree and enough pressure is put on Bungie/Activision.
I think its time that timed exclusives in games that are across multiple platforms were properly regulated.
I dont know if anyone will read this but if you do and you agree then please bump and share to others!
yours faithfully.
A fan and a concerned Xbox Gamer

Edited by FenHarel: 11/2/2014 1:24:55 PMHonestly? Personally, I say take them, hell, you can even just take Destiny as a -blam!-ing Xbox exclusive, I'm honestly surprised the PS community can be this ignorant to enjoy the game anyway. It's a mindless shooter with no real universe to take part in, there's barely a story related to anything Destiny offers. Playstation players are, majority wise, RPG players, as one myself, I don't see how this game is even floating on this side of the fence. I'm 100% dissatisfied with the game, as much as I wanted to believe it was worth my time. I noticed late in the activities Destiny offers, that it is really, just a mindless grind fest, and I've spent my time better in some Korean Free to Play MMO game, than my time in Destiny. Usually those games even offer better story, no joke. All that being said, Playstation has access to Final Fantasy: A Realm Reborn... And thus, as far as I am concerned, there is no reason for Destiny to exist here. We have COD games for those mindless shooter people, it has a better competitive environment anyway, the community may suck, but it works. However, that's my personal opinion. The reality is, these companies have signed contracts, and passed around a shit load of money. The only reason you will EVER see Destiny as anything decent, the only reason you'll have plenty of story explaining DLC's to throw your money away for, is because of these very deals you are arguing against. Bungie needs that funding to have any -blam!-ing chance in hell, to make Destiny great, to pay the people working behind the scenes to patch up the mess they made, with more mess. The paycheck that the people working on the DLC's you'll be buying, is payed with this money. Hell, as far as I'm concerned, the whole damned game needs a new story written and implemented in it, it might as well just be taken offline and worked on from the ground up, maybe one day it'll happen, they'll really need that funding at that point. If, for some god damned stupid ass reason, you want to see this game thrive. You need to deal with these contracts, and suck it up. Edit: I'll also make note, that you mentioning how Xbox's community has been the only community Bungie has had, is actually the entire reason Bungie NEEDED to pony up to Playstation users. They NEEDED something to say "HEY WE CAME FROM XBOX BUT WE WANT TO BE FRIENDS HERE ARE SOME GIFTS! LOVE US!" Otherwise, you wouldn't see soooooooooo many playstation users hop on the Bungie hype train. I myself was a victim of this atrocity.

I dont understand you people. Like honwstly its not happening sony would sue there asses off and besides that point its whats FAIR. Sony paid it this time, if you want to get mad get mad at your microsoft for not paying bungie, your nuts to think that xbox can ride the wave winning most of these battles only to bitch like this the first time they get the short end of the stick. Guess what, sorry lifes not like that. Like honestly I dealt with this on cod as a ps player, so now I finally get the fair draw and you think its 'fair' that you should get to have what we got. So seriously, -blam!- off.

2 RepliesI wouldn't mind if they just didn't make us pay for it already.

1 ReplyBungie makes the Content and Activision sells it so all exclusivity complaints should be posted in Activision forums.

55 RepliesWhy is it that all xboners are all so entitled?

I think the easiest solution that allows ps4 its exclusive stuff and still gets the content to xbox1 in a reasonable time is to release the prior exclusives when the new ones hit. So when dark below drops ps4 gets its dark below timed exclusives but the launch timed exclusives are released to xbox1 so we are still getting the same amount of content with our dlc. Is it "fair"? No. But its bettet than nothing

Where can I sign?

3 RepliesEdited by Blakimus: 10/31/2014 7:18:44 AMThe way this should work, is that they give us (xbox players) the current exclusives when this DLC arrives. As soon as they launch the dark below, dust palace should be unlocked along with the armor, hawkmoon and monte carlo available as drops, and the multiplayer map should be unlocked as well. Making the old available to all, and the new exclusives locked behind sonys wall of money. This way, sony still gets all of the exclusives, and us xbox players arent left hanging with 1/4th less content this year. Asking them to give all of it back is rediculous, as that is not how the business works. Sony invests money, activision blocks xbox player content, and sony players get more of the game, making it slightly more of an experience for them. But a YEARS worth of content is supposed to be held from xbox. THIS CANNOT STAND. If this stays, i can assure you activision, this deal will cost you more than it will gain you. It doesn't take years of experience to tell you that people recieving less for the same price will stop buying. Yes, they bought the game. But if you give us this fair system i propose to you, i garuntee you will make the correct decision for your future profit.

We should have know how boned we were when things like this started happening: http://www.cnet.com/news/microsofts-destiny-cologne-ad-skewers-sony/

Not gonna happen. Bungie have to respect the contractual obligation they have with Sony. So, not gonna happen.
-
petition is pointless here, especially for a corporate decision to be reversed.

2 Replies1st, im in 360 and i say get over it. That exclusive shit is all about money between activision and PS. Bungie probably had to do that or PS would have stopped supporting this bullshit game sooner than later. For the record i like the game, but that doesnt mean it isnt full of bullshit to the fullest. Unless you can pay both sony and activision enough money to change this, let it go. 2nd, so sick of the "my console is better than yours for blah blah bullshit reasons". It should be us (the whole community [except nerf herders, those -blam!-s have no spine]) VS activision and the devs. More against activsion since they now own bungies soul and its obvious their money hungry asses now run everything. I wish i could afford all systems so i could experience what they all have to offer. The more we fight amongst ourselves the more the arrogant devs will listen to nerf herders since they are the only ones who seem united by there willingness to cry together. 3rd, there is so much potential for this to be a great game one day. But if the community cant unite then this game will fail. Ten years is a long time to ask gamers to put up with the crap flung at us so far. I for one dont want to "beta" test this game for a couple years just so activision feels better giving bungie its balls back to actually make the game that we all thought this was going to be. Im not saying its a bad game but if you say there are not glaring issues in all areas then you may be a blind fanboy.

Give us some Halo and then we'll talk...
-
Give us ps4/ps3 gamers the halo series and we'll gladly give you our two strikes. LOL
-
2 Replieswhen the xbox does get them, how do we know that they wont just be sold to us a new DLC?
-
You say you understand what exclusive and contracts mean but I think you don't.
-
4 RepliesBut when Microsoft does it, it's okay. Deal with it. YOU ARE LITERALLY MISSING TWO STRIKES AND COMPLAINING Pathetic. It's 20 minutes of content that you're missing out on. Wah wah.
-
Agreed.
-
Edited by Devilsmirk: 10/31/2014 9:12:36 AMSony paid them for this content under contract. Petition all you want. The date for when Xb1 users get the content isn't going to change. Just be calm. Both consoles do this. It's become almost common practice nowadays.
-
8 RepliesI want all the PvE content I paid for. You do NOT get to withhold key content for a year while pushing PvP garbage. Give me my content or refund the entire purchase based on your fraud.
-
Just to reiterate the dark below is a complete package that has a theme based around crota. The ps exclusive strike is not part of that theme therefore is not part of the same package, its merely available early on ps.
-
The extra strike is not part of the dlc, it is being released at the same time but I imagine it will be part of an xbox exclusive dlc to come out next year.
