Public events rewards
So, I've been on patrol the last 2 days trying to get materials from various planets and while doing so, I have done several Public Events. The problem is that, even if you get the gold, you don't always get a reward.
So yesterday for example, I played a public event by myself in old Russia. While I was about to complete it (2 enemies left), another guardian joined the public event (Yay!), but the problem is that he got the reward and I got nothing. I know there's similar problems in the crucible and strikes. But public events normally take skill and patience to complete and is one of the few ways to get ascendant materials.
So, what do you think? Should public events be more consistent when giving rewards?

1 ReplyYes for the shards or energies. I have a hard time getting shards from the daily and weekly, and seem to get a large amount of energies. It's a pain in the ass to have all your gear maxed out in level but cannot get shards for shit to upgrade.

Yes every time you finish a public event you should be rewarded consistently. Sure the first one on gold should net you that big reward, but after that we should really be getting high faction point rewards and vanguard marks consistently. Otherwise, it's kind of pointless to even do the event. I've personally solo ran through the walker one at least a dozen times only to get nothing at all. That's not easy. >.>

1 ReplyYour 1st public event of each day [b]always[/b] rewards you with either ascendant energy, shards, strange coins, or maybe even a mote of light (not sure about that one). After that, you have a [b]chance[/b] to be rewarded. Gold Tier gives 15 or so Vanguard marks. Silver gives 10 I believe. Bronze gives you only 5 or so marks.

2 RepliesYes, but I'm also inclined to say that everyone wants *anything* right now due to the minuscule loot table and lack of lore. So it's just going to be one big pile of "please give us another reason to stick around" crack-out. Don't even defend the Grimoire, it gives you a smidge more info than the game in the form of random personal accounts (mostly about non story related things).
