Like LA, Detroit, Cleveland, etc. it seems the cites with liberal economic and social policies end up poor. One of which had to go bankrupt. But what's funny is we never see conservative cities end up poor like that. Why is that?

6 RepliesIt's funny because liberal states are the wealthy successful ones with economic growth, low unemployment, and clean industry, whereas republican states are usually dirt poor...
-
They're conservative and save money for when they need it

24 RepliesLet the republicans show us how it's done!

6 RepliesDon't really know very many conservative cities in the first place. Cities tend to have large populations of minorities and working class who tend to vote Democrat.
-
3 RepliesBecause the poverty causes the liberal ideology. Not the other way around like you are thinking.
-
Poverty just seems more pronounced in big cities because there are more people around to witness it.

14 Repliesbc liberal cities love the idea of stealing from those who work and rewarding those who don't, thus causing unemployment, thus causing economic decline.

Edited by Bolt: 9/21/2013 12:45:04 AMBy what metrics are you identifying cities as having liberal or conservative economic policies?
-
6 RepliesChances are, you don't know jack shit about economics, or the very basics. The only reason why "Liberal cities" are going bankrupt is because they're tons bigger than "Conservative cities". More people, more usage of money. The more people, the more liberal it gets because of how diluted the city gets. Example: This city is heavily conservative, yet this city is pretty much the 9th worst city to live in America. Why? Two reasons why this city is very conservative: The population is predominantly white and the town is heavily agriculture based. It's self-sustainable, but businesses do terrible here. Look at "broke liberal cities" like San Francisco and LA. They're "broke", yet there's so much business and money everywhere there. Places like Snelling, CA, San Diego, CA, Fresno, CA, Seaside, CA? They're heavily conservative. The only one that's not poor or bankrupt is Seaside. Also: Correlation =/= Causation. Very first thing that you'll learn in Psychology class.
