Also what's an good ELO example of an average ascendant player? I feel like I castrated my K/d a long time ago when I started playing during Lightfall. By just being dumb, new and hardheaded.

Trials kD on avg are higher cos of 2 reasons 1. It is a night n day difference in terms of how easy it is to change a trials kd since people usually don’t put an excessive amount of time into trials early on like 6v6 gamemodes 2. People actually try like it’s control im not sweating my balls off and I don’t think most people are

You are right that in general you use trials kd cause its a better form of determining skill. But this guys overall and trial are both 1.3. So im just speaking in general.

I prefer a combination of seasonal and overall. While taking a peak at overall weapon choice and accuracy. And 1 or even 2 stats just isn't comprehensive even to be reliable. But there are also a lot of ppl who tanked their K/D before they got gud. So overall can be misleading too.

That seems like cherry picking. Although by that logic, it would be more accurate to just remove everyone's highest and lowest seasonal performance.

That why you use overall. It's a clear way to see how a player has done even through broken metas or time of balanced metas.

I just don't see how information that possibly spans over 7 years is a clear indicator. It begs to differ that because of said metas and or "balance" that the only thing relevant would be the last couple years at most.

Thats like saying "because science has come so far in the past 2 to 3 years, we don't need the super old science anymore". You always need a baseline, and as you evolve through different things in the game your baseline will increase or decrease.
