New pathfinder update is really good! Good work Bungie on that front. Having 3 separate pathfinders for each ritual playlist and they all can be completed in one playlist if you happen to do the right things. Good changes

I dunno. I actually preferred Crucible, Gambit and Vanguard being on one path. It have me an incentive to do activities I don't fence into that often rather than sticking to my comfort zone. But maybe I'm alone in seeing that as a positive.

It is now how it should've been released. I really don't get how someone from leadership signed that **** we had in the last 4 months

2 RepliesI spend around 20-30 thousand bright dust a season. I like to farm back that much plus a little extra for emergencies. When pathfinder shipped i heavily criticized it. I tried to be factual and constructive. The system was so frustrating that i stopped engaging with it as soon as they started handing out the bright dust package. This new system is highly enjoyable compared to the old combined Pathfinder. I would go so far as to say i even enjoy it more than bounties. I feel adequately rewarded for my time. I dont feel overly forced into any particular build. I absolutely agree. The new pathfinder is big success and im absolutely loving engaging with it. Now for my one piece of criticism. Getting to pathfinder is annoying. I dont like having one page for goals (quests and bounties) and then needing to tab over to destinations, open a ritual activity and finally access my pathfinder goals. If there was a pathfinder node on the quests and bounties page that would be really nice. I understand the new portal system coming next year will likely solve my issue. But if its not part of the portal consideration yet or if it could be implemented in the meantime i think that would remove any friction i have left engaging with pathfinder.

I think it’s crap because it’s only 3 resets per account instead of per character and I got screwed out of my 3rd pinny as well as everyone else I know. Hardly a random error at that point and they likely shipped knowing it was broken

Edited by Obi-Juan: 10/13/2024 5:06:28 PMGreat when people actually take the time to give bungie positive feedback. They need to know when they've done something right! I'm sure some people will be getting the odd bug where pathfinder isn't giving them their reward, but overall, the update to pathfinder is so much better. Far less tedious and restrictive
-
It would be if the pinnacle drops weren't bugged.
-
Credit where credit is due. It’s significantly better now.
-
8 RepliesStill not as good as bounties
-
I just need some scout rifle PVE kills and I'll have completed my Gambit pathfinder... I don't play Gambit... Sucks I can't do the same thing with the Crucible pathfinder this week.
-
4 RepliesAgreed and they shouldn’t touch it now.
-
Agreed.

4 RepliesI'm not sure what game you're playing, but when loot (Pinnacle) doesn't drop from the Pathfinder, that doesn't make it good it makes it rubbish. The Xp you get from it is also peanuts.
-
4 RepliesPro: It's possible to unlock two pathfinders (technically three I guess if you play Crucible) by only playing one activity. Con: They really need to fix how we're not getting the pinnacle reward at the end sometimes.
-
2 RepliesYes, it's definitely an improvement and has given me a reason to enjoy strikes again. They need to retire Liminality though. That strike is the most brain dead set of encounters they've ever done. The former employee who was bragging about that strike as if it were brilliant needs to have her head checked. Honestly, how many hive crap blockages do you need to destroy in one strike? Don't even get me started about how the boss fight exactly mirrors that big Psion strike that's been out since vanilla D2.

1 ReplyI don't get repeated pinnacles so its worse for me!
-
1 ReplyAgree Did two nightfalls and a strike completed th e vanguard one Went to gambit half of it was already done easy Went to pvp only one objective left didn’t get a pin for the third time
-
agree there. it’s actually fun now! it also helps you level your season pass and that’s a plus too! i really wish it would have launched this way.
-
That's definitely true. And it appears to also do a better job of getting you to want to jump to the other two activities for a match or two than the last version.
-
Everything would be fine, but... I got a reward for only 1 reset. For the second one, it was already 0.
-
3 RepliesIt is definitely better than it was before. But it still sucks that they severely limited the way of earning bright dust and didn't change it back.
-
A lot easier but once you max the pinnacles then it’s just collecting resources .
-
digital bounties that's all they are.
-
It's sooooo good that they don't drop any rewards once you get to the end. I know some have experienced this at least. I finished all pathfinders for all 3 activities, and none of em dropped a single loot, mats, or anything. Great job bungie. You outdone yourselves
-
I agree it's better, but this is how it should have launched. Not that I'm criticizing them for fixing their mistake, but this is a mistake that shouldn't have needed to be fixed in the first place, much less months after its launch. Not having a separate pathfinder for each mode is an idea that should have been shot down as soon as it was proposed or at the very least, caught in playtesting.
-
Pathfinder is okay. I got pinnacle for first time. After 1, other pinnacles is not dropping normally for 2 or 3. Bungie will fix it soon,
