All I see is more gay lore….

Well, they just pullled another blinder. First the cutscene for the beginning of Act III, that you cannot skip, is the start of yet yet another gay relationship drama. And step 1 of 22 for Act III is to complete the exotic mission. But they havent put a node in Fireteam Finder for it. But you will have to do it on all three characters. So there's that. And my mate says it is bugged and extremely "janky", as dying in certain areas soft locks you and you cannot restart. He's just rage quit Bungie's latest disaster. Anyone else think they saw that most people cannot be bothered with the tedious chore that was Dual Destiny and they asked themselves just how can we make players engage with our latest effort ?? .. Hey I know, make it part of the story they paid for but cannot progress without doing it, and they'll have to do it on all three characters too. As it's the biggest they have ever done according to them, and based on the tedious mechanics in the campaign and Dual Destiny I am going to give this guaranteed bullet sponge fest a hard pass. The good news though is that means I don't have to bother with yet another few weeks of "When did you tell me you loved me" and cheese on toast lines like "I tore through time for you" after it so that's a major plus. They seem to be determined to force people to engage with stuff. Like the "Chat is disabled" alert I get every time I log in. I know it's disabled Bungie, because I was there when I disabled it. And I disabled it because I stopped dealing with the oxygen stealing section of the playerbase you cater to a long while ago. Or the recently appeared "Quest" that tells me to go speak to Saint about Trials, clearly just to get you to speak to him and I bet that will count as you playing Trials that week. I just cant be bothered with this game anymore.

I used to complain about the duel Destiny activity not being a solo activity when it first came out and got sick of complaining. Bungie doesn't care because it requires work to change the activity to a solo activity and they already got their money so they don't care I actually took a break from destiny to play other games and it broke the destiny addiction. People want changes that will never happen so is better to move on, I did. I came back to play the Solstice event for a bit and noticed the game feels DEAD and player count is really low. It's really sad to see the game in such a bad shape and I know it will not get better in the future. I do agree with the comment about servers shutting down. I do believe they will shut the servers down in the near future. I recently played The first Descendants and I had lots fun playing the campaign, something I haven't experienced in destiny in a long time. First descendant has its flaws but it was fun playing it and you can do all the activities and campaign SOLO. I recommend all SOLO players play other games and break the destiny addiction. Trust me, after you break the addiction, you wont care about an unobtainable class item. Good luck all

Those of you who are against this guy need to understand something: not everyone can do voice chat. Some people are deaf, some people are mute. Some people have to be quiet when they game as to not wake up others in the home. On a PC mmo, you can type everything so this isn't much of an issue for Raids and other content that can't be completed solo, but this isn't the case on a console with a gamepad. It's not cool to gatekeep content like this to lock out people who for whatever reason can't participate.

As a solo player, I have played less and less every month since Final Shape. And I've been playing this game nonstop since 2014. I guess Bungie doesn't want my kind of player anymore. That's ok, I achieved what I wanted, which was to play the whole 10-year saga. I'm ready to move on if Bungie changes the game to be based mostly on obligatory co-op activities. And to be honest I'm having much more fun playing First Descendant and other unrelated games.

After the initial outrage that this purposely divisive mission caused, I can't help but feel a little karma is taking place. The solo players who were complaining in their masses, and rightly so, have gone rather quiet. This is either because the rewards are totally not worth the hassle, or, more believably, have stopped playing altogether and have found games that actually respect their customers. The majority of complaints are now mainly coming from the players who initially [i][b]defended [/b][/i]this controversial mission, which I find quite amusing. Those self-opinionated people who were claiming it to be "the best mission ever put into Destiny", and unsympathetically crying "use lfg" and "find a friend", started whinging when a glitch which dropped double rewards was rightly patched. Since then, other complaints such as the drop rates, poor rng, the mission is too much to grind over and over for a single reward, etc have been expressed on this very forum. For heavens sake, even Xur sells them now, and they're still not happy. I think it's a good time for solo players to gloat now, even though there is still no valid option for them to get the class items, and are deliberately being prevented from buying them with strange coins.

I've noticed that even regular difficulty content has just slowly crept up in difficulty to the point where people i know just won't bother any more. I want to be drawn in and play through the seasonal stories and get invested, but all this just puts me off.

I hear you... Shame bungie doesn't. I play solo, Most of my clan also play solo, When out on any patrol zone I see loads of solo players. I join strikes, and the ones that I enjoy the most are when I'm matched with Solo players... Solo players are the most disciplined players with their own goals, and objectives & like to play on their own terms Solo players usually have families, Employment, Bills 2 pay, and thus limited amounts of time, Bungie doesn't cater for those players, they cater to the 'grinder' with acres of time. Solo players usually don't like using mics, or even texting.. we live in that world now where using the 'wrong pronouns' or swearing etc can get you flagged up or even banned. Cancel culture is real, so to keep our accounts we avoid communicating altogether (*my perspective backed by evidence & experience) To top all that bungie offer accolades for completing certain activities solo... And lately... crucible broken, no fix for player name issue, people getting penalised for broken connections, bans issued for all sorts of reasons, I even got a ban on this forum for 1 week because I called for a moderator to resign... That's hate speech apparently.. The dogpilers will be along shortly to defend Bungie to the hilt... don't let them bother you... they lurk here all day looking for victims instead of playing games.. ❤️Xeno

It seems Bungie may have overstepped with the latest Destiny expansion. It's as if they have a deliberate disregard for solo players, which is strange. Alienating the majority of your player base doesn't seem like a smart business move. I'm hoping the Sony-led restructuring of Bungie brings some positive changes and helps curb some of Bungie's more questionable decisions, though that might be a bit optimistic.

It's a money thing. Bungie hopes current guardians will bring in new players * Sadly I tell anyone curious about playing Destiny, to stay far away from this game these days.... The game is mostly now log in Tuesday, do some Pathfinders and check off the Fortnite style triumphs checklist, for bright dust, the premium currency for shopping Eververse.
