Battle Eye...

waited almost 3 hours to get booted back to the load screen while watching the first cutscene after getting a "battle eye" issue. this is exhausting, its been bad, not this bad. i just want to play with my friends. Update 1: it has now been four hours.

      • Hey I found a work around on Twitter. this is copied from the guy who found it. I did this and it has worked for me "Steam -> Library -> Destiny 2 -> right click -> Properties -> Installed Files -> Browse go to the battleeye folder and Uninstall_Battleeye.bat Go back to the properties windows and scan for integrity. itll reinstall it. if not use the Install_Battleeye.bat then restart PC."

        • Just got home (5PM PST) and got my first ever BattleEye error like everyone else here. All I have connected to my PC (Windows 11) is a Logitech mouse, Razer mechanical keyboard and Scuf Envision Pro, same as I've ever had for the whole time I've played D2 on PC (originally on XBox). I had really hoped that 7 hours post-launch was enough time for Bungie to hammer out the login issues, but apparently I was wrong.

          STEAM PC - I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S THE REASON MY ISSUE IS FIXED, BUT I UNPLUGGED MY CONTROLLER ON PC. EVERYTHING'S WORKING WELL SO FAR. WEASEL I didn't get to watch all of the opening cinematic after logging in, so I bit the bullet and decided to skip to see if I could get past the WEASEL error. PLUM But then I was greeted with an empty Orbit screen (the ship wasn't there), and a message that said "Your fireteam no longer meet the requirements to play this activity". I didn't select any activity. This message would disappear and reappear 3 or 4 times on its own before logging me out with error code PLUM... BATTLEYE .. and a message about BattlEye encountering a problem. A small error window appeared with "Client not responding".

          • Same exact thing happening for me -- got in for a few minutes and then got kicked and have been getting hit with Plum, Weasel & BattleEye errors. Been stuck like this for the last hour and a half.

          • I made it through a few missions before I closed Destiny to grab a bite - arrogant of me to think the server problems were done. After waiting through the 'One Moment Please...' message, I made it through character selection to get repeated 'contacting destiny 2 servers' messages at the bottom of the screen, and then got kicked with the 'Plum' error and a battleeye popup.

            Same issue here - I've gotten in twice, kicked both times due to plum error and battle eye crashing. EDIT: Bit of a nuclear option, but I just reinstalled the whole game and, weirdly, immediately signed in, bypassing the queue entirely. No PLUM error.

          • I make it through about 45 seconds to a minute of the opening cutscene and then receive this PLUM error. I thought I was wrongly banned because it is a BattlEye error, but it being widespread makes me feel better.

            Ill post as well, I was waiting for hours, got in and messed around on my warlock, but my brothers couldn't get in so I exited out to get on my hunter and turn some bounties in. My game crashed and I eventually got back in but now my ship wasn't rendering in orbit, neither was my emblem, and when I clicked on my emblem the banner popup only said in-orbit but none of the other usual choices were there. I couldn't change any of my items, and attempting to launch to the tower caused the game to crash, same with the pale heart, every time I get a battle eye error and code plum. Edit: I didn't start the story, so I didn't think this was the story bug bungie mentioned about switching characters during the campaign. I got to difficulty selection and then left Edit 2: something happened, cus I tried again and I was able to get into the game, and just loaded into the tower (still waiting for my brothers)

              +1 for this topic. I managed to sign in, and the introduction cinematic began playing. Moments later, Destiny error bars began creeping along the bottom of the screen indicating an attempt to reconnect. After they appeared and disappeared a few times the game crashed, mid-cinematic, with a PLUM error, as well as an external error window from BattlEye that stated "Client not responding," which required acknowledgement. I closed the game, re-opened it, and had been been unable to reconnect since, with the game again reporting that the Destiny 2 servers are not available. After waiting several minutes, I restarted the game and was met with a queue window. However, the game still regularly produced the "Servers are unavailable" prompt. I also noticed that the button prompts for the controller type are incorrect (which has never been the case with Destiny 2 - it's always picked up the correct inputs from DS4Windows). Regardless, remaining on the screen resulted in a successful login which was again immediately met with connection errors mid cutscene, and again yielded a PLUM error and the external BattlEye error as previously described. Attempting to reconnect following this error yielded the "Servers are unavailable" error cycle once more, with no queue window. Closing the game, waiting a few minutes, and restarting it again yield the queue window, though the "Servers are unavailable" error prompt remains an issue, as does the inevitable crash from BattlEye. I'm not sure if it's relevant, but, it always appears to happen at the same point in the cutscene between the words "..once thought.." (the specific scene is the hive portion about a minute and a half or so in where Ghost is referring to how it upended our view to see hive with light). Judging from folks reporting a similar consistency (but at a different spot in the cutscene) I'm going to guess that's largely irrelevant, and whatever the underlying issue is just happens to impact us at different times (though it's probably the same overall cause). * This issue has resolved for me. Other issues now remain (persistent CACAO and CURRANT errors prohibiting progress).

              • I have gotten in to the game 7 times now and been error coded out (weasel the first time, plum each time after) with battleye stating "Client not responding"

                  • Same here. Tried twice, first booted with a battle eye client not responding error. Second try, I skipped the cutscene but received "Your fireteam no longer meet the requirements to play this activity" which flashed continously. Shut down and restarted everything just to be put in the queue.
