I see the frustration in posts. Why not show the 10% score threshold?
I really get it, there is a target that keeps moving and nobody has a clue really what that target is. Why is it so hard for bungie to show us that top 10% score? Infact why don't they post the top 10 scores in the community along with that minimum score to get 10%? Just show that score you compare ours too prior to starting the nf as you are loading in? or a leaderboard in the tower? or at worst, a leaderboard on your own website?
These things arn't that hard and yet bungie just refuses to innovate or change at all. They seem satisfied with every single event having been created needing nothing to make it better.. just keep adding things we can buy..

2 RepliesThey don't show the top 10% score for 2 reasons. 1.It will constantly change 2.they want you to play the game OVER AND OVER and this is how they get you to do it. If you knew beforehand how much you needed and you weren't confident of getting that score, would you even play?

Nobody said they were good options. - Get lucky and get the 10%. - Get lucky and play the winning character type three times. - Grind bounties for metals. Double needed to complete all quests. With Diamond bounties for our closest friends. - Pay 1200 or more silver after GG ends.

4 RepliesEasy fix chief... You do said activity, you do not get the 10%, you figure out what you did wrong ( not emote finish every yellow, orange and chump enemies) and then try again until ypi do. Bungie not giving you the actual number sounds like you are blaming them for your shortcomings.

If they were even thinking seriously about it they should have made the challenge with a fixed target score say 250k for instance. That works all week and shows players a tangible goal to shoot at instead of the coin flip after getting a score only to get gutpunched with top 20% congratulations sucker. As I can't get on until several hours after reset I gave up on it and ground the medals through a combination of Master Lost Sectors and Shiro-Chi. I have my board no thanks to Bungie.

2 Repliesyesterday got a score of 350K+ and achieved the top 10% ran it again and only got 330K+ and still got it basically emote/finish every yellow bar and champion kill everything and finish before 20 min runs out you got this! pro tip; take off every area of effect, so no incandescent yada yada, dont use grenades, *** and don't just stand on that plate, get off it once some adds come in we ran two tethers 1 well, then ran JuJu, solar side arm, MG

5 RepliesA) press emote then finish each yellow bar and champs. B) get both your teammates to die as many times as possible, making sure you chain revives. C) terminate the strike when marginal gains from reviving your teammates lead to diminishing returns. Or were you trying to be fast and efficient? Guess you are new to Destiny and have yet to understand what skill is about in this bot + aim assisted game.

I had no interest in this bug creating, flying plank gimmick, and got the damn thing purely accidentally, just by playing the game using all 3 characters. Playing solo, I never got anywhere near the top 10%, I've collected just over 400 medals, but I managed to obtain the focused winners medals somehow 🤷♂️

If my hypothesis is correct they will continue to change the metrics for the classes so everyone will have a decent shot at getting the 3 class packages, I think warlocks will be next. The gamerunners at Bungie just like f#&@king with everybody, like giving us quest with no explanations, crap that clogs up your inventory, not sure what it is or if I need to keep it, B.S. like that. Just one man's opinion.

The problem with this is- you’d have all the extremely elite teams competing and driving the score so high it would be impossible for average players to hit the 10% marker if the top 10% became almost perfect scoring runs

3 Replies330.000+ is the score my team got just now accrodding to the quest that top 30% for us but both my team members got the skimmer when we got to orbit .

My team did it straight away, just kill everything! And emote finish all the majors and champs. Hit precision shot kills, and lots of multi kills with heavy. Aim for 300k it should be less then that. And do it early in the week. So the score threshold isn’t at its highest.

Two problems: 1) Players - They don't seem to understand 90% will fail and that the actual score will change with each player succeeding. Meaning those who hit it right off may have a top 10% for the moment. But that score will probably not be in the top, say, 20% by evening. Probably not top 30% either! 2) Bungo - The real issue! They never should have made this a top percentage achievement especially one that will change throughout the day. They should have done it as they always have done with NF's a critical (Platinum) score achieved. Just do the NF platinum cards and the weekly diamond. It was fast and easy, just a few NF's a day for a week and boom done. Just do your runs get the Platinum, cash it rinse repeat. Plus do Eva's bounties that give bright dust as well. You end up winning twice that way. Or just wait till the end of the event opening your boxes by the end and you get it then. You just have to wait till the end, noting next week is the last week. So you have the event skimmer till then, then it just give you your exotic.

7 RepliesI don't see why this is as a big of a problem and the complaints are soaring in much higher than it was last year. I did it multiple times when there wasn't a hoverboard on the line, and all throughout the day, so not just at reset, and I am not patient enough to be strategic in NF's. I may be off base here, but it seems to be the one's who are incapable or lack the skillset to take advantage of the points boosts are the one's complaining the loudest. If that is the case, then either do it the slow and guaranteed way, or get the rewards from focused activities. Nothing is just free like that

5 RepliesBy design. It's psychological. You don't know, and you'll play until you get it, or at least try. Did you know Bungie are such snakes, they hired a literal psychologist with the sole purpose of coming up with ways to manipulate you to stay playing and buy cosmetics?

10% score aside, I wanna know why the heck the scoreboard is different in every single tower instance. Shouldn't it be the same regardless?
