10% as a lone wolf sucks
LFG a few good runs 256/261. Still couldn’t get that requirment.
At 64 years old it’s trying.
On a good note - have a wonderful spring and summer.

1 ReplyThat's why it's important to do it on the first day. The longer you hold out , the higher scores get and harder to fall within the 10 percent.

2 RepliesOkay tried to Solo it on a Sunday ! Old and Slow Got to 269k and timer started taking time off. Gonna just wait until Tuesday. Maybe run with a few Bodyguard studs.

1 ReplyI got it don’t as a solo by actually doing it solo. It was far easier doing all that emote/finisher nonsense alone without blueberries getting in the way 😂 The actual problem is that the score isn’t a fixed goal but instead keeps rising as the event progresses and more and more people clock in higher and higher scores. When I did it I got a score of around 250K for a top 10% score. But now that score only puts me in the top 30%.

It's a bit whack that the strike changes every day, as they have different amounts of points available, but 10% solo is absolutely doable. In today's strike (Inverted Spire), I soloed my way to a 450k score. Soloing the strike guarantees that no one else can mess up your Insult to Injury medals, no one interferes with your multi-kill and streak medals, and you can regularly get Let There Be Light.

1 ReplyIndeed, we have a different strike each day, with different potential maximum point totals available. Yet Bungie in it's infinite wisdom, counts the top 10% to run between weekly resets instead of matching it to the daily. Yet another example of Bungie not thinking things through, or not overdelivering in action? You decide. ;) Best option is to hammer Inverted Spire on the day.

Is there a reason to be 10% this year outside the sparrow? Last year it was needed for the emblem, but this year?

10% is the hardest , just grind the medals and do the focused activities that 10% increases each time someone passes it I seen someone had 270k points and still at 20%

I’m an okish 65 year old,10% with randoms I found silly,mainly hunters being honest who just wanted to run through at 900mph,was rather surprised using a well warlock how easy 300,000+ on spire was solo,done all I needed to in GG so won’t do much else but for 10% solo on any of the nf is way to go.

If you're doing it with a team only one person should do all the add killing ( need a good primary that can chain kills) this way more medals can be earned. OP: 2-man is very doable. One with wishender to set up orange- and yellow bar enemies for player two to emote and finish. On my class nightfall runs, the first ones were full of speedsters who just killed everything, ran ahead and repeated, regardless of the obvious signs me/we made to emote/finish. In one focus run, it was just me (7) and a teammate (10) from Japan - we quickly established the wishender run option mentioned above. It was a delightful run! 👌 Focus runs as a H in crucible event seemed to be the best option to get 3x winner engrams for me. Although wait times got a bit long, eg, 1 hour for 3x runs. And be sure to equip your class item, and clear your medal cache before you open your winner engrams. 👈 Good hunting! 🫡

Lfg post in the old app, not fireteam finder. Mention to clear all yellow and orange with emote + finisher. If solo is tough, this is the better way.

3 RepliesIt’s actually easier as a lone wolf. Sounds scary to solo a nightfall but when you are in control of all the kills, you can easily get to 300k.

I hear ya. I like this game but a lot of stuff is too far-reaching and too grindy. I'm still gonna play after The Final Shape and The Episodes but will push this game below my list. A lot of other games to explore...

I had trouble running as a group, nothing even close. Watched a YT vid by Esoteric for Inverted Spire solo, which I thought would be hard, but it was actually pretty easy. Got 284k and I missed a couple of emote finishers, so could do 300k+ easily I think, but it gave me the 10% so I never needed to do a higher run. If you haven’t got it by the next Inverted Spire, watch the YT vid by Esoteric and do it solo, you’ll do it easy👍

4 RepliesIt is a scaling score tracker that resets each day with a new strike. (I believe. It possibly could be weekly, but with the daily switching of the strikes I think that is intended for the score goal) Lfg or solo… Very doable to solo these strikes being everything is regenerating so fast. Ie super and abilities. Just clear ads till the champion is left. Get every champion down in health till the finisher icon is up.. do an emote and then finish. (Any yellow bar to be safe)
