Cheaters on a significant rise since the beginning of this season.
Now before all the people that say "No ones cheating you're just bad." No, this is NOT the case, we ARE NOT going to blame people who are either A. Not highly skilled players or B. Blame Myself for "seeing cheaters" I am a fairly decent Crucible player and have had NO ISSUES with cheaters besides the final weekend of Trials of Osiris where this particular player would Aimbot, and shoot through walls into the enemy spawn. Cheating has MASSIVELY increased where, you can get shot through walls, Aimbot non stop headshots and being able to see through walls. It is getting out of hand.
Note: To anyone who starts blaming me for being bad. No, you are wrong. Look up my stats and determine yourself

Edited by YaTEdiGo: 6/4/2023 2:37:16 PMCheating is BIG now even games with attention and huge companies behind them have cheaters, consoles now have hardware mods more accesible, PC is an open -blam!- for cheaters, allways been, streamers cheat, many of them even if they are good, views is money and companies Dont care, new streamers cheat even more (to catch with the good ones) the revenue from cheating is HUGE and cheating pages even have better support than the games. When I hear the word “esports” I feel is ridiculously similar to Wrestling, many times is just a circus. Try to enjoy the game even with cheaters, and that’s it, take them as a challenge because they do few to nothing versus them. And Bungie still sue them, but go COD, is active but is a total joke.

1 ReplyLook at it this way, when D2 is abandoned after Finale Shape, PVE will be the only thing to play(anthem 2.0) while a Skelton crew keeps it on life support, and all the Cheaters will go and Beat the #@$# out of Marathon. Buckle Up Marathon. lol

I never noticed too much of a problem with cheaters until this season.

Bungie has long since abandoned the need to fix Destiny's pvp. To complain about it now is just shouting into the wind. Bungie's pvp team is all hands on Marathon and what little remain on D2 are just checking to see if it actually stills runs from time to time.

4 RepliesCheating, lag and terrible match making all make the game unfun to play. Winning and loosing constantly with mercy's, players skipping, flying and rubberbanding, shots through walls, around corners and team mates who are bad, don't play objective etc all make pvp such a toxic environment to play in. it gets very difficult to want to keep at it with conditions like this and bungie really doesn't do anything to really deal with it at all.

Edited by waterpolo1: 6/3/2023 3:13:58 AMPC and consoles pretty much have built in or free screen capture features, it be neat to see a video of these cheaters instead of being told that it's on the rise or anything instead of getting a "trust me." A lot of the time I get killed and then the enemy player shows up like they were in front of me the whole time, that's a server issue and i can see how something like that can result in people thinking they got shot through a wall. Either way. With or without cheaters this game's pvp is not worth it.

Peer to peer connections and aim assist cause bullet bending around walls, people hitting their shots means they are cheating? Post proof of them having 100% accuracy. Spam shooting a corner when they see you on radar doesn’t mean they see through walls.

Yes there are cheaters! Also the matchmaking putting you at a 200ms ping p2p 2000 miles away instead of dedicated servers will make bullets hit and not register. Explosive rounds are easy to watch hit with no registration. Bungie is greedy AF!

see idk why but i feel like this sudden increase has to do with lack of action against cronus as a starter cause bungie talked -blam!- and has said and done nothing further if its cheating tell us so if it isnt tell us cause now were in the phase where some are concerned and are just abusing it while they can but hey im debating on getting a cronus myself just to see wtf they even actually do <.< cause bungie doesnt have enough peaple left working this game to really care

Bungie have a long track record of not dealing with cheaters. From the regional matchmaking to avoid opponents in trials for easy 1min wins and quick flawless to all the other abuse by trashcans. Bungie don't have a clue how to run a competitive PvP environment.

What they are doing is trying to get you hate destiny pvp so you will buy marathon! Don't waste your money because they will just do the same to that game.

I’ve seen some clips from this season where someone was flying around killing the entire team in the spawn with a full auto sidearm that should be 3 burst. I think it was the stasis omolon sidearm that didn’t even like to drop last season.

Two things can be true at one time. Yes cheaters have recently had updates to their cheats, I myself this past weekend saw the return of the infinite rapid fire heavy people in trials. Luckily when I logged in today I got the Bungie notification that the one I saw and reported has been banned so it's nice to see that system actually working. However the other truth is that a MASSIVE amount of people constantly think everyone around them is cheating no matter what

I can’t tell you how many accounts I’ve went against that are new that’s never miss a shot with 1-3 friends on their steam accounts… or the accounts that were 0.5 kd in D1, 0.6 in trails of the 9… a solid 1.0 until season 15 then 2.5kd with almost zero losses from then. Or my favorite steam account with VAC and game bans with a couple hundred hours under level killing everyone with slide and jump snipes.

Needless to say IB yesterday was among the list of activities I have encountered them and also needless to say I quit after that. Edit: Among those cheating players I did encounter visual wallhacks (very obvious because there were several who looked straight at the corner I was at), a few aimbots and even one person killing me with a shotgun through the ground while he was above me and a wall/ground pannel between us.

The other day it felt this way in freeking Gambit where the opposing team had the primeval after 3 rounds of enemies and they 2 fazed the primeval… I know nobody cares about Gambit, but i was on a sweaty team and 2 of the other guys even messaged me after what just happend. My team was destroying everything but that felt so off…

When they go belly up because people leave and Marathon flops, its the players who didnt hack, cheat, or steal that theyll blame for their failures.

People on the forum pull the "git gud" card when I merely state that cheating software+hardware are extremely prevalent in high-end PvP. These people probably don't experience cheaters as much as we do bc of SBMM in most crucible modes (if they suck, they're less likely to know what we're talking about)
